Oregon`s March Presidential Debate Canceled

Oregon’s May 15 primary election for the nomination of presidential candidates is one of the last in the nation.

(PORTLAND, OR) - Oregon Republican Party chairman Allen Alley Following news earlier this week that Republican candidate Mitt Romney would not be attending the last scheduled presidential debate in Oregon, the Oregon Republican Party announced Thursday that the event has been canceled.

The debate was scheduled for Monday evening, March 19, and was set to air on the Oregon Public Broadcasting network and affiliated public broadcasting networks nationwide.

We determined that many people are inclined to blindly use the term "truth" in order to try to authenticate what merely are subjective opinions.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem police Tuesday morning police responded to a broken window at Smokey's Novelties in downtown Salem. At 6:30 a.m. morning walkers saw the aftereffects of an alleged robbery, with police surrounding the store for hours afterward.

Woodburn Man Dies From Fall at Silver Falls State Park

Preliminary investigation indicates Daniel Bonham slipped while hiking and fell about 100 feet to where he was found.

(SALEM) - Death investigation 56-year old Daniel Frank Bonham of Woodburn, died Friday night after apparently slipping and falling to his death while hiking in Silver Falls State Park.

Oregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of Marion County Sheriffs Office and the medical examiner, are continuing the investigation. Mr. Bonham's body was recovered Saturday morning.

Salem Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Crash

The area of the crash is a rural type two-lane road, with a 45 mph speed limit.

(SALEM) - Fatal pedestrian crash, Salem, Oregon, 2-29-12 At 6:49 pm, Salem Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic crash on River Rd. S. near Cricket St S.

The deceased pedestrian has been identified as 43-year old Timothy James Crone, who appears to be transient. Next of kin notification have been made of the incident, Salem Police Lt. Jim Anglemier said.
