(SALEM) - Marine Cpl. Adam Buyes grew up in Salem, Oregon A Salem, Oregon Marine who was killed during combat operations in Afghanistan 26 November 2011, 21-year old Adam J. Buyes, arrived home today under full escort.

Local News: Lancaster Drive Shooting Sends Man to Hospital

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the Marion County Sheriffs' Office Criminal Investigations Unit at 503.540.8007.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Shooting in Salem, Oregon 27 Nov 2011 Marion County Sheriff's Deputies received a call of gunshots fired near the Pizza Hut Restaurant on Lancaster Drive NE in Salem last night. The call came in at 9:59pm.

Deputies Jacob Thompson and Nick Hunter arrived within four minutes of the call and found a male victim in his 20's in front of the nearby Bottoms Up Bar at 3082 Lancaster Drive NE. The victim had been shot.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Occupy Salem Parks Occupy Salem has been given a limited number of days to occupy Willson Park which is adjacent to the Oregon State capitol building.

What sets the Salem camp apart is the fact that relations have been good, the occupiers have not disrupted traffic patterns, they haven't been confrontational, but as expected in Oregon's capitol city, they have been very politically organized.

Occupy Salem Oregon has been asked to leave Willson park

News from Occupy Salem

(SALEM ) - The first day of Occupy Salem, Oregon The Parks and Recreation Department has notified Occupy Salem that due to problems on site, they will not grant our event another permit and may revoke the current permit if new violations occur.

This issue will be discussed in our upcomming general assemblies. The public can visit any night at 7:00 p.m. any night, to help address this issue.

(SALEM, India The Hindu) - Salem, Tamil Nadu India The Salem Chapter of Indian National Trust for Arts and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has initiated an innovative exercise to provide “better visibility” to the landmarks and signposts of historical and national importance in Salem city.

The exercise began on ‘Salem Day' (Nov. 1) since it was on this day in 1866 the Salem Municipality was formed.
