Suspect Arrested for Sexual Assaults on Girls

Police are very interested in locating any other females who have been victimized by Leslie Eugene McGranahan, who has lived in the Salem area since 1995.

(SALEM) - 42-year old Leslie Eugene McGranahan Marion County Sheriff's detectives and Salem Police arrested a 42-year old transient Tuesday, charging him with multiple counts of sexual misconduct.

Leslie Eugene McGranahan was arrested by Salem Police at the Roadway Inn, 3340 Astoria Way NE. Salem Police learned of his whereabouts and contacted him at the hotel. He was arrested without incident on a probable cause statement on file with our Office.

Keizer, Police Investigate Shooting and Assault

Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns says a gang fight involving 30 people was reported.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Keizer, Oregon Police at scene of shooting Keizer Police responded to the Partridge Lane Apartments, in the 3900 block of Partridge Lane NE, at 8:52 p.m. Friday evening after receiving a report of a "gang fight" where a shooting had occurred.

Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns, says officers on scene have confirmed at least one individual has sustained what appears to be a non-life threatening injury related to gunfire, however a second male victim was assaulted by other means and his condition remains unknown at this time.

Details Emerge in Salem Police Officer-Involved Shooting

Salem Police Officers fatally shot a male suspect following the pursuit of a stolen vehicle - anybody with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Oregon State Police Regional Communications Center at 503-375-3555.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Body of man shot by police in Salem, Oregon 16 Oct 2011 Salem Police Officers fatally shot a male suspect following the pursuit of a stolen vehicle. Lt. Dave Okada with Salem Police, says, "the incident began at approximately 1:01 a.m. when Salem Police Officers located a stolen vehicle that was being operated by a male near downtown Salem."

The vehicle, a 1989 Honda Civic, had been reported stolen to the Salem Police Department on the evening of 10-16-11.

Murder Suspects Held in California Jail Over Fatal Devonshire Apartment Shooting

Both subjects are being detained at the Siskiyou County Jail on murder charges.

(SALEM, Ore.) - 29-year old Nicholas Chavez, and 18-year old Jhosuamil Colon Lebron Detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Office are continuing their investigation of the Sunday morning shooting that left one person dead. The victim has been identified as 23-year old David A. Polanco, of Salem. Mr. Polanco was found dead at the scene, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.

Police Officer-Involved Shooting in Salem

Police are on the scene of an apparent officer-involved shooting in Salem.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Police shooting A police officer-involved shooting took place in Salem early Monday morning according to preliminary reports. It happened on North Liberty about one block south of Pine.

Our News Photographer Jerry Freeman is on the scene and we are beginning to get a picture of what took place. He says witnesses at the scene heard the sound of police sirens, followed by police yelling commands to a suspect, and then multiple gunshots.

The group of citizen activists at Wilson Park in Salem's capitol say they are steadfast, and say they will not disperse until things in our government undergo a 'serious makeover'.
