They want the richest citizens of this country, shielded from taxes in ways never seen in the country's past, to pay their fair share.

Body of Buena Vista Man Recovered from Willamette River

Anyone having information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective John Williams or Sgt. Kevin Haynes at the Polk County Sheriff's Office; 503-623-9251.

(INDEPENDENCE, Ore.) - Body of Marvin Studel recovered from the Willamette River A body was pulled from the Willamette River at Buena Vista Saturday afternoon. Officials say the deceased man was later identified as 63-year old Marvin Leonard Studer, a resident of the Buena Vista area.

Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies got the call around 2:30 p.m. and responded to the reported sighting of a body floating in the Willamette River. Buena Vista is an unincorporated area of Polk County south of Independence, Oregon.

Marion County Deputy Receives Recycling Awards

(Salem, Oregon) - Marion County Deputy Bob Ferris On Wednesday, the Marion County Board of Commissioners presented Deputy Bob Ferris with the 2011 Association of Oregon Recyclers Recycler of the Year Award in the government category. A two decade veteran of the Marion County Jail, Deputy Ferris, who is also a Master Recycler, has worked for many years to improve recycling and waste reduction efforts at the county jail. As a result of Deputy Ferris' efforts, the county jail is now realizing savings of over $20,000 per year by decreasing the size and frequency of garbage collection.

Before the lightning strikes gave way to thunder, we watched an aircraft fly in from the north to, it appeared, take a look.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem lightning strike Shortly after 3:00 a.m. today, Dexter Phoenix and I noticed a very strange weather occurrence that I suspect many Salem area residents heard from inside of their homes.

What we saw was a series of lightning strikes to the east, they were almost flashing in a consistent pattern, roughly every 20 seconds. I've absolutely never witnessed anything like it in my life.
