Unfortunately, charcoal briquette and propane barbecues can pose a fire hazard if not used safely. Annually in the United States there are over 6,000 fires and 170 injuries due to barbecue grills.

Police Arrest Transient Male in Two Major Assaults

Two people described as transients were taken to Legacy Meridian Park Hospital by ambulance for treatment of their injuries.

(TUALATIN, Ore.) - Jesse Roger Giles is in custody for assaulting two other people described as transient from the Tualatin area.  Photo: Tualatin Police Tualatin Police responded to a report of an "assault occurring now" call last night at 6:15 PM at the Shell Station at 7090 SW Nyberg Road in Tualatin.

Capt. Brad King with Tualatin Police says that when the officers arrived, they contacted 19-year old Lori A. Wayment, a transient from Utah, who had a cuts and contusions on her back, head and arm.

Arrest Made in Sex Abuse Investigation at Day Care Facility

The suspect was arrested for first-degree Rape, first-degree Sodomy and first-degree Sex Abuse.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - 22-year old Vladysav Detectives with the Beaverton Police Department arrested twenty-year old Vladysav "Lodick" Volynets-Vasylchenko of Tualatin Thursday in regard to a sex abuse investigation at a private daycare facility in Beaverton.

Sgt. Paul Wandell says the investigation was initiated on February 10th when the mother of an eight-year old female victim informed detectives her daughter had been sexually abused by Volynets-Vasylchenko.

Clackamas Shooting Suspect Arrested in Tualatin

The suspect, Kenneth James Leeper, was arrested for two counts of Attempted Aggravated Murder.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Oregon shooting suspect Kenneth James Leeper The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has arrested a shooting suspect believed responsible for the attempted murder incident that occurred Tuesday afternoon on SW 65th, in Tualatin.

Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says that a result of this investigation, his office alerted law enforcement and new sources with suspect information related to this shooting incident.

Investigation Concludes on Historic Nyberg House Fire

The home, considered to be a complete loss, has been turned back to the owners and their private insurance company.

(TUALATIN, Ore.) - historic Nyberg house Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue fire investigators have concluded that a fire that destroyed a historic home in Tualatin last week likely began in an upholstered chair on the west end of the first floor.

"The determination came after investigators were granted very limited and quick access to the building late yesterday," Fire Spokesperson Karen Eubanks said.

Update on Historic Nyberg House Fire in Tualatin

Until the danger of working around and beneath unstable structural members is eliminated, the fire investigation remains on-hold

(TUALATIN, Ore.) - Historic Nyberg House in Tualitan, Oregon burning January 2nd Tualatin likely began the process of saying goodbye to a landmark Wednesday, January 2nd, when flames were reported at the historic Nyberg house that night at 11:30 PM.

The building was devastated by the fire and is likely a total loss. At the time of the fire it was vacant, though transient activity was reported from time to time there.

Fatal Shooting in Tualitan Under Investigation

The man said the weapon unintentionally discharged as his wife entered the room, striking her in the abdomen area.

(TUALATIN, Ore.) - Death investigation Tualatin Police are continuing to investigate the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Kimberly Lynn Osbrink of Tualatin. It happened occurred Sunday at 10:30 PM.

Investigators say they determined that the woman had been shot by her husband, 24-year-old Ryan Michael Osbrink, who had signed an offer of employment with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. His first day of employment was tomorrow, December 19th.
