(Northern District of California) - Prop 8 A federal judge ruled Wednesday that California's Prop 8 is unconstitutional. The ruling in the federal trial challenging California's ban on marriage for same-sex couples held that it's unconstitutional to have one set of laws for some Californians and another for others.

It was a memorable night. We were a freelance TV news camera crew and the only other person on scene beyond the cops, was a single newspaper reporter.

Israel claims Vanunu received a fair trial...

(CLERMONT, Fla.) - The original Times article from 1986; it took Americans more than twenty years to ever get wind of this through traditional sources.  President Carter made it reality in May 2008. After 5 years of petitioning the Israeli Government to FREE VANUNU, I received a three page, 13 point letter from the State of Israel Ministry of Justice The Human Rights and Foreign Relations Department on July 29, 2010.

For those who don't know, Mordechai Vanunu is the former Israeli nuclear technician who blew the whistle over Israel U.S. funded illegal nuclear weapons program in 1986.

Arizona Citizens Mobilize in Demonstration Over Perceived `Hate Law`

As if Arizona isn't already hot enough.

(PHOENIX / SALEM ) - Protests in Phoenix Crowds gathered by the hundreds yesterday in this desert city; many were taken into custody and the police and deputies had their hands full to say the least.

Jailers in Phoenix, Arizona had to call for backup in the afternoon as angry demonstrators beat on a metal door at a downtown jail. 32 people were arrested at that site alone, among protests taking place all over Phoenix.

(AL-ARAKIB, Israel GUARDIAN UK) - Israeli police razed the Bedouin village of al-Arakib A menacing convoy of bulldozers was heading back to Be'er Sheva as I drove towards al-Arakib, a Bedouin village located not more than 10 minutes from the city.

Once I entered the dirt road leading to the village I saw scores of vans with heavily armed policemen getting ready to leave. Their mission, it seems, had been accomplished.

(VUNG TAU, Vietnam / SALEM, Ore. ) - Photos of human remains recovered in Cambodia, possible missing journalist The man who set out to locate the remains of famed Vietnam War Photojournalist Sean Flynn, son of the acclaimed actor Errol Flynn, says the U.S. government is not cooperating with the Flynn family or his team, in helping properly identify the remains.

He says they appear to not be Flynn's, as it turns out, but possibly one of two missing Japanese journalists who were last seen in the same area.
