Will Oregon Stand for Sex Abuse Victims? (VIDEO)

While church and state are separate in the United States, Oregon's government may be more interested in the welfare of churches than victims.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Portland, Oregon attorney Kelly Clark talks to sex abuse victims Oregon sex abuse survivors joined Portland Attorney Kelly Clark at the capitol in Salem today, to attend a hearing for a bill that would extend the window of time sex abuse survivors have to take action against the person or people who abused them.

Oregon as a government, strongly condemns the sexual abuse and exploitation of children, yet politicians are struggling with this basic common sense answers for the people lucky enough to survive the abuse in the first place.

King County Sheriff Spokesman Deflects Accusations of Police Brutality

Thugs With Badges or Saviors of Society?

(SEATTLE, Wash.) - Salem-News.com A Washington man remains in a coma after being tacked into a wall earlier this month by a deputy in King County, Washington. The deputy, 27-year old Matthew Paul, outweighed the man he smashed into a wall by nearly a hundred pounds.

The video in a KOMO TV report of the police "take down", shows the deputy pummel 29-year old Christopher Harris into a wall at an awkward off balance angle, as his neck is clearly bent forward from the force.

Presidents of Iran, Afghanistan & Pakistan Hope to Stabilize Mideast

The presidents of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan on Sunday signed a joint statement dubbed the "Tehran Statement", at the end of their trilateral summit on regional developments.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com After all of the political bashing and essentially unfounded accusations of nuclear weapon development, it probably seems unlikely to many Americans that Iran would be the country to bring stability to the Middle east.

A historic meeting between Ahmadinejad, President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan and Hamid Karzaithe of Afghanistan, held Sunday, saw discussion of collective trilateral efforts to fight extremism, Islamism and terrorism in the region.

Nineteen Marine Raiders Who Finally Came Home

They say the Marines always recover their dead.

(MAKIN ISLAND) - Marine C-130 aircraft used to recover the Marines from Makin. In 1999, U.S. government officials recovered the bodies of 19 Marine Raiders who were killed fighting on Makin Island in August, 1942. With the help of a local islander who actually remembered the Marine landing, they were finally recovered and brought home, almost six decades later.

Many Canadians are now focusing on is the apparent lack of truth and responsibility on the part of the national police force.

(CALGARY, Alberta) - Royal Canadian Mounted Police looming above Mr. Dziekanski On October 14, 2007, 40 year-old Robert Dziekański arrived at Vancouver International airport from Poland after a flight of nearly 24 hours.

He was emigrating to Canada to live with his mother in Kamloops, B.C. The plan she offered was for them to meet by the baggage carousel. What she didn’t realize was that the carousel was in a secure area to which she had no access. This, otherwise insignificant, error cost Dziekański his life.

More Videotape Released in Alleged Border Patrol Checkpoint Beating of Preacher

This is a follow up to an earlier report about an incident in mid-April involving Border Patrol agents and police officers from the Arizona Dept. of Public Safety.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Pastor Steven Anderson A Baptist minister from the Phoenix, Arizona area, received numerous injuries from police during a dramatic incident April 14th, that was an apparent result of his refusal to submit to what he considered to be, a violation of his Fourth Amendment Right to Privacy.

It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Steven Anderson is an American Civil Rights crusader.
