(ALVADORE, Ore.) - A Naval officer who served in World War Two was laid to rest this week in Springfield, Oregon. Retired Lt. Cmndr. Harry Freeman Snyder was born on November 26, 1918 in Richmond, Michigan.

He was the only child of Esbon and Tillie (Wagner) Snyder. Harry died on January 10, 2009 in Springfield, Oregon; he was 90 years of age.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Today Oregon welcomed home Chief Warrant Officer-2 Joshua Tillery who was killed in late January in Iraq, and escorted his remains to Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.

Joshua Tillery, an Army helicopter pilot from Oregon, was one of four soldiers killed in a helicopter crash January 26th 2009 in northern Iraq. 31-year old Joshua Tillery served under the command of the U.S. Army's well-known 10th Mountain Division.
