Oregon Could Be The Finish Line for Obama

Barack Obama is expected to beat Hillary Clinton in Oregon by a double-digit margin.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Obama Clinton Democratic presidential hopefuls Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton will do battle in Oregon on May 20 for the state's 52 pledged delegates.

Hillary blew away Obama last night in West Virginia. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Clinton won 67 to 26 percent. There were 28 delegates at stake -- Clinton won 20 delegates to Obama's eight. John Edwards, who left the race several months ago, got 7 percent of the vote.

Earthquake in China Leaves Thousands Dead, Some Buried (VIDEO)

China's state news agency estimates that 7,651 people have died from injuries suffered in the earthquake.

(SALEM, Ore.) - As many as 5,000 people were killed in China today during a major earthquake. The disaster that jolted southwestern China on Monday measured a magnitude of 7.8.

In China's Sichuan province alone, officials report an estimated 3,000 to 5,000 victims reported the Xinhua news agency said. The military was also dispatched to quake-hit areas.

Gabriel Saez was riding Eight Belles when she broke both front ankles.

(NORFOLK, Va. ) - Eight Belles PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk has fired off a letter to Senator Hillary Clinton condemning her for placing a bet in the Kentucky Derby and imploring her to publicly denounce horseracing.

PETA's plea comes just one day after the horse whom Clinton reportedly bet on, Eight Belles, broke both of her front ankles and was euthanized after being whipped across the finish line at the Kentucky Derby.
