Fatal Pedestrian Vehicle Crash - Highway 99E Just North of Salem

The pedestrian reportedly was trying to cross the highway in a partially lit area from the east side to the west side when he was struck.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Saturday evening's fatal pedestrian-involved crash on Highway 99E just north of Salem.

The crash resulted in the death of a 42-year old man, described as a transient whose name is withheld pending next of kin notification.

Large Tree Falls in Power Lines, Blocks Access for 50 Lake Oswego Residents

(LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.) - This morning at 8:11 am a large tree fell across Lakefront Rd. at McVey Avenue in Lake Oswego. The tree took down power lines and other utility lines as it fell.

Lake Oswego Firefighters secured the scene and denied access to the area due to the power lines tangled in the fallen tree.
