International Law Expert: Ahmadinejad is Right about 9/11

An international lawyer says many now question the truth behind the 9/11 attacks, and that American citizens are demanding an international probe into the incident.

(SHATILLA REFUGEE CAMP, Beirut) - Dr. Franklin Lamb and Pres. Ahmadinejad “Ahmadinejad is absolutely rational and correct on this, that the American people are now coming to the point of demanding an international inquiry (into the 9/11 attacks), ” Franklin Lamb told Press TV.

The Beirut-based lawyer was referring to remarks by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his address to the 65th UN General Assembly that the 9/11 incident might have been the result of an inside job in the US.

`Deputies Prevent Man From Lighting Himself On Fire`

The man was arrested for Attempt to Elude, (a felony) and lodged in the Washington County Jail.

(ALOHA, Ore.) - `94 Saturn Deputies are credited with preventing a man from going up in flames. Saturday night, September 25, 2010 at 11:23 p.m., a call came in about 33-year-old Julio Yanez of Aloha's alleged plan to kill himself in front of his estranged girlfriend.

Stimler said, "Deputies learned that Mr. Yanez was upset over the state of his relationship. He had planned to pour gasoline on himself and light it."

Portland Police Investigating Homicide Downtown

Detectives are asking for more witnesses to come forward with information on the homicide as there were dozens of people who left the area before officers had a chance to speak with them.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Shooting investigation Police responding to a disturbance early this morning were just clearing the scene when officers heard several gunshots coming from the area of NW 2nd Avenue and Couch Street.

Additional officers responded and found a 20-year old male down in the street suffering from a gunshot wound.

Amnesty International: 83 Zimbabwean Activists Detained

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Michelle Kagame Amnesty International is calling on Zimbabwean authorities to release 83 activists, arrested during a peaceful demonstration in the capital city Harare.

"These arbitrary arrests and unlawful detentions are clearly aimed at restricting the rights to freedom of expression and assembly," said Michelle Kagari, Deputy Director of Amnesty International’s Africa Program.

Portland Police Make Arrest in Stabbing Death

Pelham was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on one count of Murder

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Stabbing Investigation On Saturday September 25, 2010, Portland Police Homicide Detectives arrested 51-year-old Charles Edward Pelham in connection with the stabbing death of 45-year-old Todd James Young.

Pelham was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on one count of Murder and will be arraigned in Multnomah County Court on Monday.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Reporters Without Borders (RSF) together with The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) condemns the assault by Islamist militias on two radio stations in Mogadishu.

“Taking over the ownership and control of independent radio stations by force and putting the owners and the journalists in a state of panic, risk and fear is a criminal act that cannot be condoned. This is unacceptable and amounts to the highest degree of media freedom violation,” said Omar Faruk Osman, NUSOJ secretary-general.
