War With IRAN?

America's Titanic Rushes The Iceberg.

(JACKSON, Miss.) - Salem-News.com A very strange thing must have happened to Admiral Michael Mullen, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), on his way to his recent talk at Washington's National Press Club.

He oddly asserted that Iran was indeed an "existential threat" to Israel (nice of the Israelis to have provided that sound bite), that he was open to a US attack on Iran (which is no threat whatsoever to the US) to forestall that supposed danger to Israel, and that the attack "would also be incredibly destabilizing."

If you have a child that is stuck home with the swine flu and ends up like my son, with negligible symptoms, your biggest problem will be his boredom

(AGOURA HILLS, Calif.) - Swine flu We just went through the swine flu with our older son, Will. We didn’t panic or allow the hysteria of the msm (mainstream media) to scare us. His first reaction was simply, “Darn, I’m going to miss Halloween.”

(Atlanta, Ga.) - Salem-News.com As we celebrate this Veterans Day to honor our country's heroes and pay respect to their service and sacrifice, it's difficult not to get caught up with the emotions and controversy surrounding the recent massacre at Fort Hood Army base in TX.

What happened was indeed a tragedy and the families and loved ones of those killed or injured will have many challenging days ahead. My heartfelt condolences go out to all of them.

Heroes in our Midst

Veterans, we salute you. Thank you for reminding us that heroes are still among us.

(CHARLESTON, S.C.) - I read a story recently by Laura Craven of the Star-Ledger in New Jersey about Genevieve Rausch. At a ceremony in her honor, the 93 year-old sat patiently as local dignitaries paid homage to her. The ceremony, over sixty years in the making was certainly in order, and long over due.

Rausch, a member of the U.S. Army, was a pilot in the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASP) of World War II.
