Senator Encouraged that “Change has come to Washington”

The Alternative Health Faire happens this Saturday in downtown Salem.

(SALEM, Ore.) - 350 Alternative Health Faire Organizers of a Health Faire in Salem this weekend say their goal is to provide at least 350 treatments while raising public awareness around a new standard.

JoAnne Kohler of the Tea Party Bookshop which is hosting th event, says, "Although global levels currently exceed the 350 ppm (we are at 390), more stringent standards can possibly reverse this upward trend and prevent runaway climate change."

Suspected Serial Robber Arrested In Portland

The man is a suspect in several area robberies.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - handcuffs 42-year-old Michael Gene Benson, was arrested by members of the US Marshall's Office Monday, October 19, 2009, in connection with a series of armed robberies that have occurred in Portland, Clackamas County, Gresham, and Tigard.

Portland Police Robbery Detectives believe that Benson is responsible for seven armed robberies in the Portland area.

Community Radio Station Manager Marries On The Air

(STAYTON, Ore.) - On October 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. hundreds of listeners heard Ken Cartwright and Jan Castillo exchange vows and become husband and wife on local community radio station AM 1620 KENC.

As Ken and Jan considered how they were going to get their family and friends to their wedding conveniently and because they were scattered all over the United States, Ken jokingly suggested they send out invitations to have them tune into his radio station that they stream.
