Oregon Wildfire Update

Since the beginning of the new year, 305 fires in Oregon have burned approximately 1194 acres.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon wildfire Fire officials say mop up is still taking place on the 534 acre lightning-caused Twelve Mile Fire near Ritter Hot Springs about 12 miles north of the town of Long Creek. Today, one crew and one engine are completing interior mop up on this fire, which was contained yesterday.

Beyond that, no new fires 10-acres or greater, have been reported to the Salem Coordination Center.

(TUALATIN, Ore.) - 20-year old Olivia Jocelyn Bunn Officers with Tualatin Police arrested 20-year old Olivia Jocelyn Bunn during the early morning hours of June 25th 2009, for Stalking and Solicitation to Commit Burglary, Assault and Robbery.

Tualatin Police say they learned from an anonymous source on June 24th 2009, that Ms. Bunn "ordered a hit" on her ex-boyfriend and father of her two month old baby.

Oregon Man Arrested for Assaulting Infant

The suspect, Kevin Jarnagin, is being held on $305,000 bail.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - 23-year old Kevin James Jarnagin A Newberg man has been arrested for assault and mistreatment following the investigation into an incident critically injuring a seven-month old infant.

23-year old Kevin James Jarnagin called the Newberg-Dundee 9-1-1 Center shortly after 930 a.m. Tuesday, July 7th 2009, reporting that an infant girl was not breathing and unresponsive.

Bill Includes $5 Million in Projects for Oregon`s Military Infrastructure

Projects requested by Wyden and Merkley Will Improve Roads, Water/Sewer Systems and Emergency Services at Oregon Military Installations

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Camp Rilea U.S. Senators Ron Wyden (D- Ore.) and Jeff Merkley (D- Ore.) announced today that a Military Construction appropriations bill headed to the Senate floor includes nearly $5 million in projects for military installations in Clackamas, Clatsop and Washington counties.

“These funds lay the ground work for improvements and upgrades to the infrastructure in these facilities,” Wyden said.

Investigators believe Paul Cameron Klick may have been engaging in this type of behavior for as long as ten-years.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - 43-year old Paul Cameron Klink currently faces one charge of invasion of personal privacy Clackamas County officials say today around 2:00 a.m. an intuitive mother detected that a suspected "Peeping Tom" had returned to her residence – once again – to peer into her 14-year-old daughter's bedroom window.

Det. Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, says the woman first alerted her husband and the next door neighbor, who soon discovered the suspect in the act.

(LONG BEACH, Calif.) - Looking through a cyclone fence at what was once a prominent Marine base: A Camp Lejeune lawsuit filed this week for injuries from exposure to trichloroethylene (TCE) and other organic solvents and a growing list of injuries linked to organic exposure from Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) El Toro, California have one Long Beach law firm actively pursuing clients injured at El Toro.

Michael Gates, attorney with Carroll, Kelly, Trotter, Franzen & McKenna, 111 W. Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach, California, said his firm “has been actively investigating [El Toro] for a few months and are eager to hear from injured parties. We want everyone and anyone with serious injuries to contact us.”
