(GERVAIS, Ore.) - I recently volunteered at an ODFW Youth Angling event held at St. Louis Ponds in Gervais, Oregon. A search of Tesch Road in Gervais on Internet mappings sites will lead you to an interesting view, especially noticing the shapes of the man made numbered ponds from above.

I was quickly impressed with the grounds and the folks attending the event. It was a real outdoor experience, even though I-5 can be heard near the East end of this St Louis County Park (Marion).

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has declared greenhouse gases a danger to public health and welfare, something Oregon decided in 2007, adopting its own goals for reducing climate change pollution.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Police say a Medford-area man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle southbound Interstate 5 just south of the Brownsville interchange.

After impact, Makin says the motorcycle and rider both fell onto the freeway and traveled nearly 300 feet before coming to a stop on the right southbound shoulder.
