U.S. Drone Reportedly Kills Thirty People In Pakistan

Sources said there was a camp of Afghan Commander Bahram Khan Kochi in Sarpal area. US drones continued patrolling in the area after the attack.

(PARACHINAR, Pakistan) - Map showing Kurram, Pakistan At least 30 persons were killed and three were wounded in US drone attack in Surkh Pull area in Kurram tribal Agency, a foreign news agency reported.

According to reports, four US drones fired four missiles at suspected hideouts of militants in Sarpal area of tehsil Sadda of lower Kurram. Intially, 15 people were killed in the attack.

Deputies Arrest Salem Man for Driving 120 MPH

Police say that in Oregon, speeding is the number one contributor to death and injury in traffic crashes.

(SALEM, Ore.) - 19-year old Cesar Arevalo A driver on eastbound Highway 22 in a Black 1994 Toyota Camry was observed traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed this morning.

A Marion County deputy tried to pull the car over, but the suspect was reportedly traveling at over 120 miles per hour, directly into the bright sun and it appeared he may not have been able to see the patrol vehicle behind him.

AMBER ALERT Canceled for Two Washington Children

Washington's officials believe the children were in "grave danger"; they have now been located.

(TACOMA, Wash.) - Suspect 25-year old Ahzariyah Yasharahla Police in Washington say a one-year old girl and a three-year old boy were kidnapped by their mother and her boyfriend Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from a state human services office.

Zariyah Brown is a black female who is one year old. She is two feet 8 inches tall, she weighs 24 pounds. The second victim is three-year old Deon Brown, a black male who is three feet 5 inches tall, weighs 43 pounds. Both children have black hair and brown eyes.

The Procession for Respect and Dignity will go on: as groups overcome obstacles and anti-immigration threats.

(ST. HELENS, Ore.) - Oregon State Capitol Immigration Rally in 2005 When a group called Latinos United for a Better Future decided to host a Procession for Respect and Dignity, they had no idea that things would become so complicated.

After a newspaper ran an article announcing the procession, local churches and the Saint Helens police department began to receive calls from people who threatened not only to host a counter-protest on the same day in the same place but also threatened anyone who supported the event.

Driver Escapes Hay Truck Crash with Minor Injuries

The northbound lane and a portion of the southbound lane were blocked but traffic was able to get around crash scene.

(BURNS, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A commercial truck transporting hay crashed Tuesday afternoon south of Burns on Highway 205 resulting in minor injuries to the driver and a three hour highway blockage.

Sergeant Brian Williams with Oregon State Police in Burns, says that around 5:00 p.m., a commercial motor vehicle transporting alfalfa hay was northbound on Highway 205 near milepost 55 negotiating a left curve when a tire blew on the first trailer.

Tualatin & Hillsboro Firefighters Extinguish Apartment Fire

Four of the eight apartment units within the building sustained fire and water damage with the tenants of the units being displaced.

(TUALATIN, Ore.) - Fire in Tualatin, Oregon 2-18-09 Firefighters in Tualatin were called to an apartment fire at the Amber Court Apartments, located at 692 SW 201ST Avenue in Washington County, last night at 10:22 p.m.

On arrival, crews found heavy fire coming from one side of a 2-story building and thick black smoke coming from the eaves. While firefighters evacuated the building and did a search of the affected units, other crews began a quick attack on the fire.
