“What is happening in the Horn of Africa is not a simple case of piracy. These acts of piracy raise various questions about the capabilities and equipment of simple outlaws who are seeking ransoms,” wrote Tuesday (November 25) Nawaf Al-Meshal Sabhan in the Saudi daily Al-Iqtissadia.

Police Say Man Killed Himself After Highway Crash

The crash and apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound happened on Highway 197 south of Maupin, Oregon.

(MAUPIN, Ore.) - Crash scene near Maupin, Oregon 2-15-09 Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation into the death of a Madras-area man who reportedly shot himself following a Sunday afternoon traffic crash on Highway 197 about eleven miles south of Maupin.

The deceased man had reportedly been involved in an argument with his girlfriend and was the subject of an attempt to locate out of the Madras area.

More American Soldiers Killed in Iraq

The soldies were assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Iraqi flag The Department of Defense announced the death of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

They died February 9th in Mosul, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle.
