Shooting Suspect in Keizer Remains at Large - UPDATE

Police have named the person they arrested, but they say it was unrelated to the shooting and that suspect still remains at large.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Several Keizer Police officers responded to the 3900 block of Partridge Lane NE at 9:47 PM last night on a report that several gun shots had been fired and someone had been injured last night around 9:47 PM.

Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns says the first officers arrived on scene at the Partridge Lane Apartments within a minute after receiving the call.

Milwaukie Police Say Home Invasion Suspects Were Masked

The victim, a 59-year-old female, was home alone at the time of the crime.

(MILWAUKIE, Ore.) - Milwaukie Police say they're investigating a home invasion robbery that took place on May 20th at a residence in the 1100 block of SE Linwood.

They say that at approximately 9:40 PM, three suspects knocked on the door of the residence and then forced their way into the home. They used duct tape to tie up the victim and then ransacked the home.

Man Arrested in Two Oregon City Robberies

The suspect was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on two counts of Robbery II.

(OREGON CITY) - 28-year old Christopher Easley, robbery suspect in Oregon City, 5-22-08 Police in Oregon City say 28-year old Christopher Easley was arrested for two robberies that occurred in Oregon City in the last two weeks.

Easley was located at his Oregon City home around 2:30 AM, interviewed and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail for two counts of second-degree Robbery, according to Lt. Lisa Nunes with Oregon City Police.

Memorial Day Events in Oregon

One of the longest standing traditions is the running of the Indianapolis 500, which has been held in conjunction with Memorial Day since 1911.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Memorial Day Each year on Memorial Day, Americans pay honor to all of those who have died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

In recognition of the holiday’s rich history, the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs is announcing the Memorial Day celebrations occurring statewide of which the agency has been made aware. Originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day was first observed on May 30, 1868 as a day in which the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers would be decorated with flowers.

They don't give any references or quotations from physicians or toxicologists to back up this bleating but if a person being paid by the U.S. government says marijuana is dangerous and addicting they must believe it and say so or they will lose a good paying job.

Barack Obama swept Oregon as predicted, even taking a larger than anticipated share of male voters.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Barack Obama moves forward in Oregon. The Democratic Primary candidate who promises to put America back on its feet, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, easily swept more than enough Oregon votes to claim victory here.

The showing of 75,000 people at Portland's Waterfront Park earlier this week was a clear indicator that in spite of a large amount of support, the state was not going to back Senator Hillary Clinton.

Friday`s the Deadline for 3,000 Oregonians to Apply for Healthcare

People may get assistance with completing applications by calling 1-800-699-9075 weekdays between 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.

(SALEM, Ore.) - For 3,000 Oregonians whose names were drawn in April to receive applications for the Oregon Health Plan's Standard benefit package, Friday is the deadline to return applications to the Oregon Department of Human Services.

So far, DHS has mailed OHP-Standard applications more than 10,000 people and, of those who returned their applications, 1,649 people have been found eligible for health care programs. Some applications continue to be reviewed for eligibility.
