Multi County Drug Raids Leads to Several Arrests

Police say they seized meth, guns, cash, and even cockfighting equipment.

(NEWPORT, Ore.) - Evidence seized in Oregon multi-county drug raid and series of arrests Lincoln County's narcotics team say a drug-related investigation originating with a traffic stop last week on the coast, led officers to Marion County and has resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, cash, firearms and other evidence.

Burglary and Assault Suspects Arrested by Keizer Police

Two men face numerous charges including second-degree Robbery and third degree Assault.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Eric Albert Ray Deatherage and Nathan Lynn Coats of Salem. Police investigators in Keizer received several tips following the media coverage of an assault that happened May 4th involving a victim man named Michael Courtney.

They say the subsequent investigation has led to the arrests of 21-year old Nathan Lynn Coats and 20-year old Eric Albert Ray Deatherage, both of Salem in connection with this case.

Human Remains Found on Willamette Island are Female

The remains appear to be of an elderly female with a height between 5'3" and 5'6".

(SALEM, Ore.) - Deputies learned May 11th that human remains were discovered on an island in the Willamette River.

Commander Jason Myers with the Marion County Sheriff's Office, says the human skeletal remains were located by a kayaker who stopped on the small island that occupies a section of the river between Salem and Independence, Oregon.

If Obama Wins in Oregon, Clinton Vows to Still Fight On

The latest numbers from state elections officials -- 42 percent of the state's 2,027,564 registered voters have cast a ballot as of Monday.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Clinton Family Sen. Hillary Clinton will score a huge win in Kentucky tonight, but most expect that the former First Lady will loose the vote in Oregon to her rival, Sen. Barack Obama, but she is telling supporters that she will continue her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination all the way to the Democratic National Convention this summer in Denver.

Polls have the former First Lady down double-digits in the Beaver State, and winning in the Bluegrass State by as many as 30 points. However, state elections officials are expecting a record turnout in Oregon's unique vote-by-mail system.

Police Arrest Five During Coast, Mid-Valley Drug Busts

Three children have been taken into protective custody by Department of Human Services.

(WOODBURN, Ore. ) - Jail Hands A drug-related investigation originating with a traffic stop last week in Lincoln County led officers to Marion County and has resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, cash, firearms and other evidence.

To this date, five people have been arrested and the investigation is being continued by members of the Lincoln County Interagency Narcotics Team.

Clinton Hopes for Oregon Miracle; Obama Declares Victory

Clinton says Obama’s plan to declare himself the Democratic nominee Tuesday night in Iowa is a slap in the face to the millions of voters in the remaining primary states.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - obama family Sen. Hillary Clinton and her supporters are hoping today to pull a miracle upset in Oregon.

Obama is expected to win the Beaver State by double-digits, while Clinton, is expected to win Kentucky -- which also votes on Tuesday -- by the same margin. Obama told reporters on Sunday when asked if he was going to declare victory on Tuesday after the Oregon vote: “We think we will have a majority of pledged delegates at that point and that’s a pretty significant mark.”

YouTube Video Shows Oregon Man Going 164 MPH on Motorcycle (VIDEO)

The video was shot by the driver of the motorcycle while speeding through the Interstate 5 Eugene-Springfield construction zone.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Ben Howard Kelly An Oregon man who claims he broke the "I-5 speed record" on his 2007 Honda CBR motorcycle back in April has now posted the event on YouTube.

37-year-old Ben Howard Kelly, from Eugene, was caught and arrested by Oregon State Police after his ride. Court records show that Kelley, pleaded guilty to careless driving and recklessly endangering another person by operation of a motor vehicle.

Lyons Man Dies in Single Car Crash Near Mill City

Police say the driver was not wearing his seat belt properly; only using his shoulder harness and not the lap belt.

(LYONS, Ore.) - Deputies in Linn County responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash on Mill City Drive, near Mill City today at 10:41 PM.

Sheriff Tim Mueller reports that the driver of the vehicle, 23-year old Matthew Douglas Rowe of Lyons, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant.
