His campaign is being directed and funded by the same oil company lobbyists who crafted President Bush's energy policies.

Woman Dies from Injuries Sustained in Crash Last Month on Highway 224

The 22-year old woman died from injuries suffered in the April 25th crash.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Crash in Oregon April 25th 2008 that turned fatal May 12th 2008 The Multnomah County Medical Examiner informed Oregon State Police that a Gladstone woman critically injured in a collision April 25th with a commercial truck on Highway 224 at Pheasant Court died Sunday at a Portland hospital.

The victim was pregnant at the time of the crash. Her baby boy was delivered at the hospital after the crash and is reported doing well.

Earthquake in China Leaves Thousands Dead, Some Buried (VIDEO)

China's state news agency estimates that 7,651 people have died from injuries suffered in the earthquake.

(SALEM, Ore.) - As many as 5,000 people were killed in China today during a major earthquake. The disaster that jolted southwestern China on Monday measured a magnitude of 7.8.

In China's Sichuan province alone, officials report an estimated 3,000 to 5,000 victims reported the Xinhua news agency said. The military was also dispatched to quake-hit areas.

UN Increases Food Aid for Cyclone-Stricken Myanmar

Cyclone Nargis washed away the homes of an estimated 1 million people.

(GENEVA) - Cyclone Nargis survivors The UN World Food Programme today said its food aid has reached more than 27,000 people in the areas of the Irrawaddy delta hit hardest by Cyclone Nargis, which left a path of death and destruction after striking Myanmar last week.

In an encouraging development, 28 tons of high-energy biscuits which arrived in Yangon on Friday are enough to feed 95,000 with first rations.

Man Faces Numerous Charges After Police Chase

The vehicle struck an apartment and the force of the knocked a child's bed several feet away from the wall, fortunately the child was not home when it happened.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Just after midnight, a Marion County Sheriff's deputy says he attempted to pull over a suspected DUII driver at Lancaster Drive and Sunnyview Drive in Salem.

But the suspect failed to yield to the traffic stop and a chase lasting 8.4 miles ensued through Salem and into Keizer. The Marion County Sheriff's Office says the attempt to elude officers ended abruptly.

A Nevada mother turns to YouTube to locate her missing daughter.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Police and federal agents are looking for convicted pedophile William Matthew Smolich and Angela Finger. Michelle and Patrick Finger say they aren't going to stop trying to locate their daughter who unknowingly became involved with a convicted pedophile. Sadly, the only sight they catch of her now shows up on elusive Web porno sites.

Her mom says that two years ago, Angela was bright and sweet, and was very close to her family. But that all changed in a heartbeat.

Skeletal Human Remains Found on Island in Willamette River

Anyone with information about missing persons should direct questions should contact the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Skeletal remains Deputies in Marion County responded to a report of possible human skeletal remains that were located on a small island in the Willamette River, between Salem and Independence, Oregon. The call came in around noon Sunday.

Sgt. Kristin Knutson with the Sheriff's Office says that at this time, deputies confirm that the remains are in fact human, and the investigation is continuing.

Dayton Woman Dies in Crash on Highway 99W

Witnesses said one car was being operated at a high rate of speed when it lost control, crossed the grass center median and became airborne.

(DUNDEE, Ore.) - Fatal crash in Dundee, Oregon, 5-11-08 A Dayton-area woman died Sunday afternoon when her car was struck by another vehicle that crossed the center grass median on Highway 99W between Dundee and Newberg.

Police say a third vehicle was also involved in the crash and investigators believe alcohol and speed were possible contributing factors in the deadly crash.
