American Airlines Cancels 850 Flights Nationwide

As many as 500 flights were cancelled on Tuesday.

(FORT WORTH, Texas) - american airlines at gate American Airlines is canceling several hundred flights today to conduct additional inspections of its MD-80 fleet to ensure precise and complete compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration’s airworthiness directive related to the bundling of wires in the aircraft’s wheel wells.

Ten American Airlines flights into and out of Portland International Airport in Portland, Ore. have been cancelled for today.

(MILWAUKIE, Ore.) - Frank Buckles in an NBC television appearance. Ken Buckles, Executive Director of Oregon's Remembering America's Heroes, has won a long-fought battle – a battle centered around World War One.

For twelve years, Buckles has been recognizing and honoring American Vets through his program at Milwaukie High School where he is also a teacher. But this time it was personal.

10 U.S. War Casualties Reported Overseas

One Special Forces soldier was also killed in Afghanistan.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - War casualties The Department of Defense has announced a number of recent deaths in Iraq involving our military forces. Casualty numbers have been growing steadily in recent weeks, particularly in the Iraq theater of operations.

Among the nine casualties in Iraq reported here, are two field grade officers and a captain. The deaths of these military personnel all occurred between April 3rd and April 7th. Seven soldiers were killed on April 6th, including the three officers.

Suspect in Brooke Wilberger Case Joel Courtney Arrives Back in Corvallis

Brooke Wilberger has never been found, but prosecutors believe they still have the goods on Joel Courtney who will soon go on trial.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - 41-year old Joel Courtney, Oregon Murder suspect Benton County District Attorney John Haroldson, Corvallis Police Department Captain Jon Sassaman, and Benton County Sheriff Diana Simpson held a joint media conference to announce the arrival of Joel Courtney in Benton County today.

Courtney is alleged to have murdered Brooke Wilberger nearly four years ago after she was abducted in Corvallis.

Albany Man Goes Berzerk Police Say, After Break-Up With Girlfriend

Detectives seized numerous handguns and rifles from the suspects home.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - James Culbertson On Monday, at approximately 2:25 PM, the Albany Police Department responded to the 700 block of SW College Park Drive on the report of a disturbance.

A caller reported that a male suspect was assaulting a female and dragging her down the street by her hair. Responding officers found the male suspect, identified as 47-year old Albany resident, James Culbertson, who was detained by a male friend of the female victim in a driveway in the 700 block of SW College Park Drive.
