(SALEM, Ore. ) - The 2008 Oregon State Fair has released its concert line-up for the fair, from August 22nd to September 1st in Salem, Oregon.

Iraqi Army and U.S. Special Forces Patrol Attacked

The government reports 13 criminal fighters killed.

(BAGHDAD, Iraq) - A patrol Iraqi Army Scouts and U.S. Special Forces Soldiers was attacked by criminal elements in southeastern Suwayrah, March 29th. Iraqi and U.S. Forces repelled the attack, killing 13 enemy fighters.

Iraqi and U.S. Forces conducted a presence patrol in Suwayrah. During the patrol, an Iraqi woman reportedly approached the patrol and told them a criminal member lived in a nearby house.

Iraqi Special Operations Forces Kill 22 During Engagement in Basra

Ministry of National Defense soldiers say they also had separate engagements in Baghdad March 29th.

(BAGHDAD, Iraq) - Officials with the Iraqi Special Operations Forces say they set up a special operation in a known criminal stronghold in western Basra March 29th to disrupt criminal activities and capture criminal leaders.

En route to their target, the ISOF soldiers say they were engaged multiple times by small arms and rocket propelled grenades. Upon arrival at the target, and under fire, the ground assault force entered a building and killed 4 enemy fighters. Ground forces cleared the structure, finding 2 women and 5 children who were unharmed.

Fresh Protest Reported in Tibetan Capital

(KATHMANDU, Tibet) - Witnesses in the Tibetan capital, Lhasa, say fresh protests erupted there Saturday afternoon despite a massive Chinese police and paramilitary presence, Radio Free Asia reports.

Witnesses told RFA's Tibetan service that several hundred Tibetans rallied around 2:00 PM on March 29th, beginning in the area near Center Beijing Road. Shops near the central post office on Lhasa Youth Road were closed, as security forces surrounded the Tibetan residential areas in Barkhor, Kama Kunsang, Ramoche, and the Jokhang temple.
