(KEIZER, Ore.) -
Marion County deputies were called out to Windsor Island Road today after a citizen reported finding two men on their property "burning wire" which police say is often an attempt to burn the plastic coating off of wire in order to sell the metal.
Commander Jason Myers with the Marion County Sheriff says the property owner suspected the males were possible drug users and made contact with them. He reportedly told them he had called the Sheriff's office and deputies were enroute, he then warned them to stay where they were.
Renovation Re-establishes Hotel as City's Premier Hotel and Meeting Facility.

Officials of Davidson Hotel Company (DHC), one of the nation's largest hotel management companies, today announced it has completed a $3.5 million renovation of the 269-room Hilton Eugene & Conference Center in Oregon.
He was most recently senior vice president and chief financial officer at Assurant Employee Benefits, based in Kansas City, Missouri.

“People doing yard work and wanting to use pesticide products need to take a lot of consideration before using those products,” says Dale Mitchell, assistant administrator of ODA’s Pesticides Division.

Champion Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:CHB), a leader in factory-built construction, has announced that it will close its manufacturing facility in Silverton, Oregon, and idle the last of four plants at its complex in LaGrange, Indiana, transferring the LaGrange production to the Company's nearby facilities in Topeka, Indiana.
As a result of the closures, the Company expects to incur pretax cash restructuring charges of approximately $2.1 million in the first quarter ending March 29th 2008.
