Oregon Health Plan Reservation List Attracts 76,000 Names

There is one week remaining for those who want to sign up.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Going into its final week of accepting names, the reservation list for the Oregon Health Plan’s Standard benefit package has attracted the names of 76,106 uninsured Oregonians.

The reservation list, open since January 28th, closes Friday. Oregon Department of Human Services offices, which are among sites where request forms are available, will be open until 5:00 PM.

Satellite Debris Analysis Indicates Hydrazine Tank Hit

U.S. Strategic Command space surveillance sensors continue to track and characterize the debris to ensure timely notifications are made, if necessary, with regards to ground or on-orbit debris-related risk.

A single modified tactical Standard Missile-3 (SM-3), fired from the USS Lake Erie was used to engage the satellite.

Two Injured in Crash on Highway 22 in Santiam Pass Saturday

Both drivers were using safety restraints and both vehicles' airbags deployed.

(SANTIAM PASS, Ore.) - Photos of crash scene on Highway 22 in Oregon, 2-23-08 Oregon State Police troopers are continuing an investigation into a two vehicle serious injury traffic crash Saturday morning on Highway 22 on Santiam Pass.

OSP Senior Trooper Gary Martin says that around 11:00 AM, a sport utility vehicle was eastbound on Highway 22 near milepost 81 when it lost control on the icy roadway and collided head-on with a westbound passenger car.

Two Hurt in Serious Motorcycle Crash Near Hermiston

The car driver was cited for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device - Stop Sign and for Failure to Yield.

(HERMISTON, Ore.) - Crashed motorcycle near Hermiston, Oregon 2-24-08 Police say two people on a motorcycle were seriously injured Saturday evening when their bike collided with a car that had failed to yield at the intersection of Punkin Center Road and Highway 207 northeast of Hermiston.

According to Oregon State Police Sergeant Allan Muhs, a 2001 Chevrolet Impala four-door driven by 43-year old Olivia De La Cruz Ramos from Hermiston, was eastbound on Punkin Center Road and had stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 207.

Two Salem Men Lost in Boat Capsizing at Clatsop Spit

The incident ultimately left one Salem man dead, one Newberg man dead, and a second man from Salem missing.

(HAMMOND, Ore.) - A report of a capsized 16-foot aluminum vessel at Clatsop Spit near Hammond, Oregon, drew the response of U.S. Coast Guard rescue crews Saturday morning, who arrived on the scene at 10:45 AM.

The incident ultimately left one Salem man dead, one Newberg man dead, and a second man from Salem missing.

Man Lifts Car off Woman with Forklift after Crash

Police say citizens gave a woman a fighting chance to make it to the hospital.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - forklift and crashed vehicle Washington County Deputies responded to SW River Road south of SW Farmington Road on a reported roll-over crash Saturday morning at 10:23 AM.

They say a woman injured and trapped in the crash was aided by several citizens who lifted the vehicle off her so she could breathe.

Clackamas County Sheriff`s Arrest Subject Believed Responsible For Stabbing Two Males

A physical altercation occurred between angry family members, and the singled-out male subject who reportedly assaulted the female earlier.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies responded to a local hospital and an apartment complex to investigate a stabbing incident – involving multiple subjects – resulting in at least two male subjects transported and treated for stab wounds.

Deputies say the 5:30 AM stabbing incident is believed to have occurred at the Sunnyside Park Apartments, located at 12345 SE Fuller Road, Apt. #101, in Clackamas.
