Do Republican Politicians Have a Gang-Like Mentality?

Gangs don't turn on each other, neither do elected Republicans who follow "Reagan's 11th commandment".

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Only time will tell what the United States will do with the desires of George Bush and his ambitions to spread beleaguered American war fighters into new, illegal and unnecessary wars in the Mid-East.

The tables have turned all the way around though even for some who were once die hard Republicans, but all too many say that the reputation of the party itself has been soiled by Bush and his gang and it is starting to look like he does not have the good interests of anyone we know in mind.

Two Injured in Head-On Crash near Klamath Falls

Police consider speed to be a contributing factor and the primary cause of the crash.

(LAKE OF THE WOODS, Ore.) - 2 vehicle crash on Highway 140W about thirty miles west of Klamath Falls near Lake of the Woods in Oregon, 2-14-08 State troopers say two people were seriously injured Thursday afternoon at approximately 5:20 PM in a two vehicle crash on Highway 140W about thirty miles west of Klamath Falls near Lake of the Woods.

According to Oregon State Police Sergeant Robert Fenner, a 2000 Toyota 4 Runner driven by 30-year old Jerimiah Paladino of Medford, was westbound on Highway 140W near milepost 36 when it lost control on an icy spot on the roadway and slid into the eastbound lane.

Van Crashing Into House Injures Two in Brooks

Both were transported by ambulance to Salem Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

(BROOKS, Ore.) - Crash investigation Marion County Sheriff's Deputies say two people were injured when a man drove his 1998 Dodge Caravan into the family residence, located at 8255 65th Ave NE in Brooks, Oregon. The crash happened around 7:00 PM.

He says responding Deputies found 70-year old Robert Appledoorn had driven his mini-van into an interior wall of his residence as he was maneuvering in his garage.

Study Indicates More National Guard Vets Commit Suicide

A Department of Veterans Affairs analysis finds that guard soldiers are more likely to kill themselves as war veterans.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Art image of American soldier in Afghanistan New analysis released by the Department of Veterans Affairs indicates that members of the national guard who serve in war are more likely to commit suicide from post traumatic combat stress.

The report states, "National Guard and Reserve troops who have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan make up more than half of veterans who committed suicide after returning home from those wars."

Why Are More People Dying in Oregon Fires?

Oregon saw 48 people die in fires last year, the largest number in the last ten years.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Fire deaths in Oregon are up, and Salem-News.com asked Rich Hoover with the Oregon State Fire Marshall's Office to expand on the reasons he believes the numbers are shifting in the wrong direction, as indicated by the figures for 2007.

In all fairness, the number of fire deaths maneuver like a roller coaster statistically from year to year, and no single reason can really be cited.

Campus Shooting Terrifies Northern Illinois University

Another campus shooting incident leaves many people injured and a gunman dead by his own hand.

(DEKALB, Illinois) - School shooting At 3:20 PM today, Northern Illinois University issued this message to their students and faculty: "There has been a report of a possible gunman on campus. Get to a safe area and take precautions until given the all clear. Avoid the King Commons and all buildings in that vicinity."

Half an hour later, it was confirmed that there has been a shooting on campus and several people have been taken away by ambulance.
