Man Who Jumped from the Bridge of the Gods Sunday Remains Missing

Police say the distance from the guardrail to the water is approximately 145 feet, and the water temperature was reported in the upper 30's.

(CASCADE LOCKS, Ore.) - A man remains missing Sunday afternoon when he reportedly stopped his car on the Bridge of the Gods in the Cascade Locks area, got out and jumped over the guardrail into the Columbia River approximately 145 feet below.

According to Oregon State Police Sergeant Julie Wilcox, a man driving a 2006 Toyota Avalon four-door northbound across the Bridge of the Gods, stopped a stopped a short distance from the Oregon/Washington line.

Man Dies from Injuries Suffered While Falling From a Moving Vehicle in Clark County

Police say the man, 27-year old Victor A Vega-Espinoza of Vancouver, Washington, sustained severe trauma to his head and was transported to Emanuel Hospital, where he died.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - Death investigation Investigators in Clark County say a man fell from a moving vehicle last night at the intersection of 63rd Street and 100th Avenue. They were called to the scene at 8:15 PM.

Witnesses told police the subject was riding in the backseat when he opened the door and subsequently fell out of the vehicle and onto the roadway. There was also a passenger in the front seat.

Armed Suspect Shot And Killed In Clackamas County

Investigators say the man had a history of prior suicide attempts in the past.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Police shooting A report of a ‘man with a gun call' in Clackamas led to a deadly police shooting Saturday night at the Twin Creek Apartments, 11500 SE Sunnyside Road, in Clackamas. The report of a domestic disturbance was received by dispatchers at approximately 11:00 PM.

Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says patrol units responded to the area where they found the suspect in a vehicle leaving the area.

Burglary and Robbery Suspect Arrested in Scio

The man had several outstanding charges, his bail was set at $108,620.00.

(SCIO, Ore.) - Ronald Allen McLaughlin Linn County Sheriff's deputies arrested 27-year old Ronald Allen McLaughlin of Scio today, naming him as the suspect in a robbery and burglary that was reported Friday on Crabtree Drive near Crabtree.

Sheriff Tim Mueller says that around 5:04 AM Friday morning, Linn County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers received a report that a woman at that address had discovered a man, dressed in black, in the kitchen of her home, going through her purse.

Experimental Plane Crash Kills 3 in Linn County

The plane crashed in a harvested corn field about 1/4 mile from the nearest residence. No one on the ground was injured.

Man Arrested in Salem Stabbing Incident

Detectives would like to hear from anyone with information regarding this incident.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Stabbing investigation Just before 4:00 AM this morning, the Marion Co Sheriff's Office responded to an altercation that occurred on Center Street near Tierra Drive NE, Salem.

Investigators say a male victim, 32-year old Jose Antonio Pena-Gamez of Salem, had suffered a stab wound to his lower left chest and lung area. He was transported to the Salem Memorial Hospital and underwent surgery from the wound. Mr. Pena-Gamez will be recuperating at the Salem Memorial Hospital.

Keizer CERT Members Continue Assistance of Detroit and Idanha Residents

Keizer CERT Executive Director Greg Biben, said that his CERT members are highly motivated people who are always looking for way to help others and use their training.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - CERT members Jerry Orlando (left) and William The Keizer Community Emergency Response Team was activated and dispatched on Wednesday to the cities of Detroit and Idanha, Oregon.

The team spent Wednesday and Thursday assisting residents with snow removal following the largest snow accumulation recorded in decades those cities.

Oregon`s Medicaid Fraud Unit Settles Medicaid Rebate Cases with Merck

Under the settlements, Merck will pay a total of $649 million in restitution, penalties and interest to the States and federal government to settle the cases.

(SALEM- Ore.) - Attorney General Hardy Myers today announced that the State of Oregon Medicaid Program will receive approximately $1.75 million as part of two national settlements with Merck & Co., Inc. The settlements involve 49 states, the District of Columbia and the federal government.

Merck is the manufacturer of the drugs Zocor, Vioxx, and Pepcid. The agreements with Merck resolve allegations that the company failed to pay rebates due state Medicaid Programs under the Federal Medicaid Drug Rebate statute.
