De Palma`s Redacted Sizzles Emotions Over Iraq

One of eight movies on the Iraq war scheduled for release over the next year, Redacted by Brian De Palma sheds light on a night of gruesome crimes, while Bill O'Reilly organizes protests.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The movie revolves around the rape of 15-year old Abeer Qasim Hamza, pictured here as a younger child on an Iraqi I.D. card 'Redacted' is more than a shocker of a movie, it's a beyond brutal, no-holes-barred journey through the camera lens and into the minds of two twisted soldiers in Iraq who raped a young girl before murdering her and the rest of her family.

The release of the new film later this week has the FOX network's Bill O'Reilly agitated and running at near boiling point.

White Supremacist from Oregon Sentenced for Attack on Synagogue

The men conspired to intimidate the Jewish congregation at Eugene's Temple Beth Israel.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon racist Jacob Laskey An Oregon man has been sentenced to six months incarceration with a work release and probation for his role in a 2002 rock attack on a Jewish Synagogue.

During the attack, a group of men threw stones etched with swastikas through the synagogue's windows during a religious service.

"There will be bouts with major winter events, which are typical even in the warmest of winters. We may see some of our wildest winter weather over the next month and then again in March or April," Bastardi said.

(RANGOON) - Paulo Sergio Pinheiro The independent United Nations human rights expert probing recent events in Myanmar continued his visit today holding meetings with a number of Government officials, as well as members of the diplomatic corps and the UN Country Team.

Paulo Sergio Pinheiro, the UN Special Rapporteur for Myanmar, arrived in Yangon on Saturday on a mission to verify allegations of abuses during the recent Government crackdown on peaceful demonstrators, determine the numbers and whereabouts of those detained or killed, and collect testimony about what happened.

Two Reynolds High Students Arrested on Weapons Offense

At this time, Watson says, there is no evidence that a weapon was brought into the school building.

(TROUTDALE, Ore.) - Reynolds High School in Troutdale Troutdale Police arrested two male Reynolds High students after a gun was reported and discovered near a restaurant over the weekend.

Police say the freshman and a junior students were arrested Tuesday, over the firearm that was discovered behind a dumpster at El Tapatio Restaurant on Sunday, November 11th.

Blue Ghost Recorded on Ohio Gas Station Camera (Video)

The owner told Salem-News that this isn't the first time he has been witness to something that defied explanation.

(PARMA, Ohio) - Gas station ghost Could an Ohio gas station be built atop an old Indian burial ground? That's what one man says in Parma, Ohio, an incorporated city southwest of Cleveland, where a gas station owner caught something he wasn't at all trying for.

A security camera caught a blue ghost on video, and it seems to be in no apparent hurry; the recording lasted half an hour.

ebay Corporate Headquarters Evacuated Due to Suspicious Package

No injuries were reported, and bomb squad units remain on scene at this hour.

(SAN JOSE, Calif. ) - ebay office EBay Inc. evacuated one building at its corporate headquarters Wednesday morning after mailroom employees received a suspicious package, a spokesman said.

A note was sent out Tuesday, advising parents and students of the situation.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Chehalem Valley Middle School In spite of a spate of school shooting tragedies in the United States and abroad, a story from Newberg's Chehalem Valley School may serve as a reminder that kids will be kids, and every situation does not end in tragedy.

Claudia Stewart with Newberg Schools says the story is about having good policy and good communication. "What this is a result of is good people doing their work," she said. But she added that "enough misinformation got out" and that caused more than one Portland news agency to take note.
