Man Arrested Following Fatal DUII Crash Along Oregon Coast

Police say alcohol and controlled substances were factors in the crash.

(WALDPORT, Ore. ) - A Waldport, Oregon man has been arrested following a fatal single vehicle rollover traffic crash that killed one of his passengers and sent another to a Portland hospital in critical condition.

The initial investigation revealed that 20-year-old Colin Michael Grady of Waldport, was operating a white Toyota 4Runner westbound on North Bayview Rd. and failed to negotiate a curve at milepost 2.

28-year-old Rodney Olsen of Waldport died in the crash, while 24-year-old Kelly Andrews of Cottage Grove is in critical condition at Emanuel Hospital in Portland.

Ron Cronin Photographs Exhibited in Oregon Governor`s Office

Cronin's work has been exhibited throughout Oregon and published in a number of books and periodicals.

(SALEM, Ore) - An exhibition of photographs by Portland, Oregon artist Ron Cronin is on display in the office of Governor Ted Kulongoski through August 28, 2007.

The stunning large-scale color images are representative of Cronin's long-time interest in the ecology of the north Oregon coast. A self-taught photographer and Vietnam veteran, Cronin lived in a van at Ecola State Park on the north Coast for a time in the 1970s.

No Cancer Found After Bush Colonoscopy

The 61-year-old Bush had polyps removed during previous tests in 1998 and 1999 when he was governor of Texas.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - No cancer was detected in five small growths removed from President George W. Bush during a routine colon exam over the weekend the White House said on Monday.

"The president is in good health, there's no reason for alarm," White House spokesman Tony Snow said.

Doctors on Saturday removed the small growths, known as polyps, during the colonoscopy.

Narcotics Search Warrant Leads to Arrests in Albany

Police say one man had a forged Social Security card and a forged Resident Alien card.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Detectives seized approximately 3/4 of an ounce of methamphetamine Friday around 10:00 PM, during the execution of a narcotics search warrant at 1805 SE Clay Street #4 in Albany.

They say they also found prescription medication, over $5,000 in U.S. currency, packaging material, scales, drug paraphernalia, surveillance equipment, and a laptop computer reported stolen from a vehicle in Albany in February 2007.

FBI Warning Public of Three E-Mail Scams

One scam is spam e-mail which claims to be from an official of the U.S. military sent on behalf of American soldiers stationed overseas.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - The FBI is warning the public against three separate Internet scams that continue to flourish through spam e-mails.

The warning comes after the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) received a rising number of complaints from citizens over the past few weeks.

In one scam, an e-mail recipient receives an electronic greeting card containing malware (malicious software).
