Suspicious Church Fires in Polk County Under Investigation

Both buildings were spray painted with anarchist slogans.

(GRANDE RONDE, Ore.) - Two fires in the Grand Ronde area over the last two days are under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The first fire at the Grand Ronde Elementary School on Grand Ronde Road occurred Monday at approximately 3:55 AM. The fire at the school did minor damage and was discovered after a fire alarm sounded.

Barbara Concepcion Named MaPS April 2007 Stellar Teller

Freight Car Still Smoldering After Late Night Fire

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Union Pacific.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem firefighters say they arrived at the scene of a train fire Monday night to find a fully involved box car packed with paper products on fire.

Fire Department Spokesman Bill Holmstrom says firefighters worked throughout the night separating the paper materials from the box car in the 3800 block of Portland Road NE.

Fuel Prices Continue Decline Despite Holiday Demand

Gasoline prices still inching downward. In Salem, prices went up by less than half a cent overnight, but don't expect big price jumps.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Although a record number of Americans are expected to hit the roads during the Fourth of July, gasoline prices should continue their slow decline. In the past week, the national average price for a gallon of regular dropped another two cents to $2.95.

AAA's Elliot Eki, says that in Oregon, the average price moved down by more than four-cents to $3.03.

Oregon law bans possession, use or sale of fireworks that fly, explode or travel more than six feet on the ground or 12 inches into the air.

But this criminal convict friend of George W. Bush got his post conviction walking papers Monday. Scooter spending two and a half years in the slammer was just too much for the President to bear, so he "commuted" the prison sentence.

Chris Benoit`s Doctor Charged, Jailed in Drug Probe

It is reported that Astin was a longtime friend of Benoit.

(ATLANTA) - Pro wrestler Chris Benoit's personal physician has been charged with improperly dispensing painkillers and other drugs to his patients.

Police say the famous wrestler killed his wife and son before committing suicide, his fans have been devastated.

Dr. Phil Astin is indicted on seven counts of dispensing drugs like Percocet, Xanax, Lorcet and Vicoprofen between April 2004 and September 2005. Benoit's initials were not listed among the names of the drug recipients named in the indictment.

Keizer Woman, Two Kids Hurt in Crash on I-5 Near Albany

The crash impacted traffic on I-5 Monday afternoon.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Police say one adult and two children were injured in a two vehicle crash on Interstate 5 today at 2:14 PM. The crash happened about ten miles south of Albany.
