Rev. Jerry Falwell has Died

He was found unconscious in his office after missing a meeting

(LYNCHBURG, Virginia) - Jerry Falwell 73-year old Televangelist Rev. Jerry Falwell has died. He was found unconscious Tuesday and was given CPR for about half an hour according to the AP.

Televangelist Rev. Jerry Falwell was found unconscious Tuesday and was reported to be in grave condition.

The News & Advance of Lynchburg reports that the well known and controversial Falwell missed a meeting about noon. He was found in his office, unconscious and unresponsive. He was rushed to Lynchburg General Hospital around 12:00 PM ET.

Oregon`s Unemployment Rate Drops to 5.1; Lowest Since 2000

The U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.5 percent in April and 4.4 percent in March.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - employment news image Oregon’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.1 percent in April compared with 5.2 percent in March.

The April unemployment rate was the lowest since December 2000, when the rate was also 5.1 percent.

In April, Oregon’s seasonally adjusted nonfarm payroll employment rose by 5,600, following a gain of 2,300 in March.

FDA Issues Health Risk Alert for Sexual Enhancement Products

True Man is sold in boxes containing a 10-capsule blister pack. Energy Max is sold in boxes containing two 10-capsule blister packs.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - fda logo The Food and Drug Administration is advising consumers not to purchase or use "True Man" or "Energy Max" products promoted and sold as dietary supplements throughout the United States.

Both products -- touted as sexual enhancement products and as treatments for erectile dysfunction (ED) -- are illegal drug products that contain potentially harmful, undeclared ingredients.

The products contain substances called analogs that have similar structures to active ingredients in approved prescription drugs.

Pedestrian Dies From Injuries After Being Struck by Freight Train

The incident was reported by the railroad conductor at 8:34 PM.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Scene at the railroad tracks and McGhilcrist in Salem Salem Police and railroad officials are still on the scene of a train versus pedestrian incident at McGhilcrist St. SE and Pringle. The 38-year old victim has not been identified, pending notification of his next of kin.

Salem Police Sgt Tony Moore says the conductor noticed the man as they approached. "They could see the man walking along the tracks, they were making eye contact."

Missing Tacoma Man`s Body Found on Forest Service Land Near Idahana

77-year-old Marvin Wright was an Alzheimer's patient, missing from his home in Tacoma, Washington since April 25th.

(IDAHANA, Ore.) - Death investigation Investigators with the Marion County Sheriff's Office were called out to the Santiam Canyon area just before 11:00 AM this morning on a report of a dead body.

They were contacted by the U.S. Forest Service who reported that they had seen a white Toyota Camry on Whitewater Rd SE near mile post 6, on Forest Service land north of Detroit.

Coast Guard Still Searching Oregon Coast for Missing Jet Skier

Anyone who has had contact with Hindenburg is asked to contact the Coast Guard at (503) 861-6211.

(ASTORIA, Ore. ) - coast guard helicopter The Coast Guard is continuing the search for Charles Hindenburg who went missing after his jet ski ran aground Sunday night at Cathlamet Bay near Astoria, Oregon.

Hindenburg was last seen wearing a yellow wet suit and was operating a yellow jet ski.

Hindenburg contacted Clatsop County marine deputies after his jet ski ran aground on mud flats during low tide.

Burn Barrel Causes Structure Fire

Salem Fire wants to remind citizens that backyard burning is not allowed inside the City limits.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Fire in Salem Oregon Firefighters in Salem say a burn barrel caused a structure fire today at 3564 Jana Ave South. Fire crews rolled to the fire at 2:12 PM. Salem Fire Spokesman Bill Holmstrom says that when crews arrived, the southwest side and the roof of the structure was on fire.

"Firefighters extinguished the fire within 10 minutes of their arrival. Very minimal damage was done to the inside of the structure. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the exterior of the structure."
