Vancouver Police Looking For Missing Teen

Gina Toia has been missing since Tuesday afternoon

(VANCOUVER, Wash. ) - Vancouver Police are asking the public's assistance in looking for a missing person.

17-year old Gina Toia was last seen at Fort Vancouver High School at around 3:00 PM Tuesday. Gina is 5'4" tall and weighs 125 pounds. Gina was last seen wearing a white jacket with blue pants.

Anyone seeing Gina is asked to call 911.

Price of Gas Won`t Stop Oregon From Hitting the Road

Gas prices average $2.49 across Oregon—about three cents higher than this time last year.

(SALEM) - Higher travel related costs will not keep families home this Thanksgiving. AAA estimates that 38.3 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this holiday, a 2.7 percent increase from last year’s 37.3 million travelers.

“Airports and highways will be busier than ever,” said AAA Oregon Senior Vice President Beth Van Horn. “Prices for hotel rooms, rental cars and airfare have increased, but that will not keep people from traveling.”

Dog Faces Long Road to Recovery After Being Shot, Left For Dead

Marion County Dog Shelter employees are trying to raise money to pay for surgery to remove a bullet from the dogs throat.

(SALEM) - A pit bull mix is recovering at the Marion County Dog Shelter after being shot in the head.

The dog was found by hunters in the Santiam Pass area by hunters according to Phyllis Morris with Marion County Dog Control.

Morris says the dog was either shot by his owner or hunters sometime ago.

Public Hearing Set For Albany Surplus Property Near Jefferson

The property that is the subject of the public hearing is located at 38159 Scravel Hill Road NE.

(ALBANY) - The Albany City Council will hold a public hearing at its next regular meeting at 7:15 PM, Wednesday, to consider whether it is timely to sell property that consists of 100.2 acres of land and a single-family home located north of Albany near Jefferson.

The city bought the property on March 1st, 2002, to gain access to the Santiam River and a new intake for drinking water to supply the Albany-Millersburg Joint Water Treatment Plant.

Task Force on Salem River Crossing Project to Meet Wednesday

(SALEM) - The Salem River Crossing Project Task Force will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, at Pringle Community Hall in Salem, 606 Church St. SE.

The Salem River Crossing Project is being conducted by the City of Salem and ODOT to develop solutions for crossing the Willamette River in the Salem-Keizer metropolitan area that meet transportation needs, are compatible with the built and natural environments and have broad community and regional support.

Linfield Basketball Player Killed in Car Wreck

In the wake of the team tragedy, the Linfield women's basketball team has cancelled Friday's season opening game at Cascade College.

(McMINNVILLE) - Counselors and staff at Linfield College are meeting with students and faculty after learning that Linfield College student Chelsea Peterson (Fr., Hockinson, Wash.) died early Sunday morning in a single car accident near Newberg.

Peterson was 18.

"She was a young lady with great spirit and determination," said Robyn Stewart, women's basketball coach at Linfield. "She always had a smile on her face and was encouraging and positive to her teammates. She had a bright future as a basketball player."
