Suspect Arrested After Resident Spots Him Leaving Barn

The Marion County Sheriff's Office would like to thank local residents for helping in capturing this suspect.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Rodney Allen Tishmack The Marion County Sheriff's Office has captured the man wanted in connection with a residential burglary Monday near Seminole Road NE and Mustang Road NE.

Rodney Allen Tishmack was arrested Tuesday afternoon after being seen by a local resident exiting a barn.

Motorhome, Camp Trailer Destroyed by Fire

Cause of the fire was determined to be a campfire from the previous evening.

(LEBANON, Ore. ) - Lebanon Oregon Grass Fire Shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Lebanon firefighters responded to the report of a structure fire at 35930 Polly Farm Lane which sits at the base of Peterson Butte.

Upon arrival crews found a field fire that was approximately 1/3 acre in size and had spread to a motor home, camp trailer, and utility trailer.

Salem, Oregon Gas Prices Continue to Fall

The top five most expensive states are Hawaii, Alaska, California, Oregon and Washington.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Oregon Gas Prices While the national average for regular unleaded dipped a nickel this week to $3.52, Oregon’s average slipped one-and-a-half cents to $3.93.

In the Salem-Keizer area, the average price fell one cent to $3.90, while in the Portland-Vancouver area dropped two cents to $3.92 a gallon.

Four Public Hearings to be Held on Oregon Beach Smoking Ban

Education about the new rule is taking place through 2014, and enforcement will begin in 2015.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Oregon Coast Proposed rules that would restrict smoking of tobacco products on the ocean shore recreation area will be open for public comment through August 29.

Citing environmental issues as a primary concern - plastic cigarette butts can persist for years, even in the harsh beach environment - the commission approved a staff request to consider a smoking rule for the ocean shore.

15 to 19 Dead After Israeli Artillery Attack on UN Refugee Camp

(JERUSALEM) - Gaza Refugee Camp Israeli shelling killed at least 15 Palestinians sheltering in a school in Gaza's biggest refugee camp on Wednesday, the Health Ministry said, as Egyptian mediators prepared a revised proposal to try to halt more than three weeks of fighting.

Some 3,300 Palestinians, including many women and children, were taking refuge in the building in Jabalya refugee camp when it came under fire around dawn, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency said.
