Tillamook Cheese Vans Found Safe; 2 Sacramento Men Arrested

Both suspects were taken into custody in the City of Rocklin, Calif., without incident.

(MANTECA, Calif. ) - Tillamook Cheese VW Vans After an extensive investigation, Tuesday at 12:45 p.m., members of the San Joaquin County’s Delta Regional Auto Theft Task Force arrested two people involved in the theft of several Tillamook Cheese vehicles, which included three custom VW Micro-Buses, valued at $300,000.

The theft occurred over the weekend, while the Tillamook Cheese transport truck and trailer containing the restored VW buses were parked at a hotel parking lot in Manteca.

Small Oregon Coast Town Hit Hard by Vandalism, Graffiti

Police do not yet have a price tag on the cost of repairing the damage that was done.

(WALDPORT, Ore. ) - Waldport Oregon The small Oregon coast community of Waldport, Ore. was hit hard last week by graffiti and vandalism.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's office says the received multiple reports of vandals doing spray paint and other damage to vehicles, fences, and mailboxes in and around the area of Wakonda Beach Road.

Rescue Crews Work Quickly to Save Man Trapped Under Waterfall

It is believed that the victim was stuck in the water for approximately one hour.

(WASHOUGAL, Wash. ) - Dougan Falls Tuesday evening at approximately 8:10 p.m., the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call, from a caller reporting a man stuck in the water at Dougan Falls.

The caller reported the man’s head was above water but his legs were trapped.

Salem, Oregon Gas Prices Headed Downward

This week three states are in the $4-per-gallon club, down from four states last week: Hawaii, Alaska and California.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - oregon gas price The national average for regular unleaded is down four cents this week to $3.61 a gallon, while Oregon’s average slips one-and-a-half cents to $3.97.

In Salem, the average price has dropped an average of 3 cents a gallon to $3.94. In Eugene the price has dropped 4 cents to $3.98, Medford dropped 2 cents to $3.99, while the Portland-Metro area dropped one cent to $3.96.

Young Girl Found at Bottom of Pool; Bystander Saves Her Life

The bystander said she was trained in CPR, and her training just took over.

(HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. ) - CPR Tips A woman bystander is being credited for saving the life of a 6-year-old girl after finding her at the bottom of an apartment complex pool in Happy Valley, Ore.

Sergeant Nathan Thompson with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says deputies and medical personnel were called to the Greenleaf Monterey Apartments located at 8640 SE Causey Ave just after 6:00 p.m. The victim was described as unconscious, unresponsive and not breathing and that CPR was being performed by a bystander.

Truck Bursts into Flames on Mission Street in Salem

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Truck Fire Salem firefighters were quickly on the scene Tuesday evening after a truck burst into flames on Mission Street SE.

The truck caught fire around 7:30 p.m., right in front of the Salem Radiology Clinic and Oregon Community Imaging building. The incident caused minor traffic delays in the area until firefighters put out the flames.

Portland Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash near Portland Air National Guard Base

UPDATE: Portland Police have identified the man killed in the accident.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Portland Police Portland Police are still investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that occurred just after 5:00 p.m. on Northeast Cornfoot Road.

Preliminary information indicates that the rider was eastbound on Cornfoot Road when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a telephone pole.

Police: Oregon Man Exposes Himself to Young Girl on City Bus

Officers retrieved a bus video recording which was used to identify and later locate the suspect.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Karl Deickmiller Portland Police have arrested a 52-year-old man after he allegedly exposed himself to a 5-year-old girl on a TriMet bus.

Portland Police spokesman Sergeant Pete Simpson says police began their investigation on July 7, after officers assigned to the transit division responded to a call of a man exposing himself to a young female in the area of Southwest 6th Avenue and Columbia Street.
