Kerry: Iraq Will Only Survive if Leaders Come Together

Jordanian army sources said Jordan's troops had been put in a state of alert in recent days along the 112-mile border with Iraq, redeploying in some areas as part of steps to ward off "any potential or perceived security threats".

(BAGHDAD, Iraq) - Iraq ISIS Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday promised "intense and sustained" U.S. support for Iraq, but said the divided country would only survive if its leaders took urgent steps to bring it together.

Hours before Kerry arrived in Baghdad, Sunni tribes who have joined a militant takeover of northern Iraq seized the only legal crossing point with Jordan, security sources said.

Oregon Man Arrested After Exposing His Genitals to Female Cashier

The clerk was able the second time to get the man's license plate, call 911, and identify the suspect's car to police.

(OREGON CITY, Ore. ) - Clackamas County Sheriff A 51-year-old Oregon City man is behind bars Monday after he allegedly intentionally exposed his genitals to a female store clerk, not once, but twice.

Police say the man entered the Plaid Pantry store at the corner of Leland road and Warner Milne road walked up to the counter on two separate occasions and showed the female employee his genitals.

Fire Damages Home in Northeast Salem

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem House Fire An overnight fire in northeast Salem, gave firefighters quite a battle before they got the fire under control.

Marion County Fire District No. 1 was called to a structure on fire at 180 Kenwood Ave NE just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Captain Joshua Darland said once firefighters arrived on scène they were informed by one of the home's occupants that there was a fire in the home.

This work requires closing the right and center lanes of I-5.

Former POW Bowe Bergdahl Now in Outpatient Care

Bergdahl's next phase of recovery will be treatment tailored for soldiers who have spent time in captivity.

(SAN ANTONIO, Texas) - Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, who spent five years as a Taliban prisoner of war before being released last month, has been discharged from a military hospital in Texas and will continue treatment as an outpatient, the Army said Sunday.

Bergdahl was transferred from Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, to the nearby Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, said Army spokeswoman Lieutenant Colonel Carol McClelland.

Semi Carrying Seafood Waste Crashes in Oregon Coast Range

Highway 26 is now open in both directions.

(BANKS, Ore. ) - Seafood Truck Crash Oregon State Police are continuing to investigate a early Sunday morning crash in the Oregon Coast Range.

Police say at around 6:30 a.m., a commercial truck carrying 40,000 pounds of compressed seafood waste was traveling eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 35 when it went off the right shoulder and crashed into bordering trees.

BE AWARE! of Oregon Coast Road Construction Projects

The painting of the second bridge is expected to take two months to complete.

(PACIFIC CITY, Ore. ) - Oregon Road Report The bridge painting contractor is completing work on the first of three bridges on Ore. Hwy. 130 -- Little Nestucca River Highway -- between Ore. Hwy. 22 and U.S. 101.

On Friday, June 27, the first bridge at milepost 5.11 will re-open and the contractor will begin work on the second bridge at milepost 5.97.

An Oregon Department of Transportation project is currently underway that will add centerline rumble strips to sections of U.S. 26 and U.S. 30.
