200 Sheep Killed When Truck Overturns East Of Salem

The driver was transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries to Samaritan Albany General Hospital.

(SCIO, Ore. ) - sheep after crash Emergency responders, Linn County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police are at the scene of an injury commercial truck rollover crash along Highway 226 near Scio involving a trailer transporting more than 300 sheep.

Some of the sheep were reported injured and killed, and others removed from the trailer.

In a new study just published in the Journal of Neuroscience, scientists from Australia, the United States (Oregon), and the United Kingdom showed in laboratory animal tests that oral intake of this compound significantly extended the lifespan and improved the locomotor function of transgenic mice that are genetically engineered to develop this debilitating and terminal disease.

Salem Ready to Open Splash Fountains; Annual Public Works Day is Thursday

The splash fountains at Riverfront Park and River Road Park will be open two hours earlier.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - The City of Salem is set to open splash fountains in area parks. The self-operating spray fountains will be open every day until 8:00 p.m. starting on June 20.

The Eleventh Annual Public Works Day is scheduled for Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Riverfront Park.
