Investigative Media Reports Expose Pill Mills; and the Nation's Drug Czar Laments the 'Dangers' of Marijuana

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - I’m sure my readers hear the U.S. Government Marijuana-phobes blathering about how dangerous Marijuana is. ABC News carried stories about homeless people in Houston getting Oxycontin-like drugs in “pill mills” and giving them to drug dealers who apparently sell them on the street to anyone and this has caused 1200 or more deaths.

On the same day Gil Kerlikowske, National Director of the Office of Drug Control Policy, blathers about how dangerous Marijuana is with a litany of totally disproven dangers (THERE ARE FEEW IF ANY). He points out that even 8th graders are smoking it. He says smoking Marijuana has NO medical value and disregards the U.S. Government statistics that maybe 15 million patients use it daily for medical purposes. Besides that he totally ignores the fact that the U.S. Government grows, manufactures, has patents on, and gives 300 Marijuana cigarettes per month to about a half dozen U.S. Government certified patients.

Getting to the title: Marijuana is the safest, best medicine ever found. Almost all patients have been treated or mistreated by many previous doctors with drugs which are addicting and/or have such bad adverse effects its patients don’t like them. Would they lie about that? NO! Marijuana has only a slight addicting liability. Millions of patients use it successfully with little harm and great benefit!

Regarding the doctors; in California some are taking advantage of a totally screwed up system and at Malibu Beach they set up card tables and for $50 will give almost anybody a letter allowing legal use. This does not work most places where previous records are required. In California with 30,000 or more doctors there is no way to monitor or police these errant doctors. Most states have rigorous requirements for doctors and gullibility or being duped has nothing to do with their programs. The regulations are so ambiguous that almost every person, doctor, patient, or caregiver is breaking some part of the laws.

It is frequently pointed out in news papers and TV that misuse of prescription drugs and binge alcohol drinking are far more dangerous and lethal than Cocaine, Meth or Heroin. Even the party drugs like ecstasy are far more dangerous than Marijuana.

MARIJUANA IS STILL THE SAFEST MOST USEFUL MEDICINE!!!
