A recent article in The New York Times, homing in on the pain reliever peril, systematically reviews the perils and lethality of the NSAIDS.

The anti-marijuana folks will take great offense at this, but it is a fact. Although NSAIDS are relatively non-toxic as compared to morphine, etc., they do have toxic attributes.
Even aspirin, the most common NSAIDS, kills about 1,000 patients per year. Other adverse side effects of NSAIDS include heart attacks, stroke, stomach and intestinal bleeding, damage to the liver and kidneys, and high blood pressure.

News is spreading throughout the Big Apple state that a rather unpublicized medical cannabis (aka "Marihuana") bill went forward and was passed for the 4th time by an unofficial vote of 95-38 on Monday, June 3rd 2013.
The bill will now go forward to the New York Senate for a final decision and be enacted into state law.

Senator Lou Correa's DUII bill undermines the will of California voters who have clearly, overwhelmingly voted in favor of legalizing pot for sick people.
Marijuana stays in the system for a month, but even if a patient hasn't used it in a week, they will still test positive. Correa wants them in our state's overcrowded jails.

Insomnia, or inability to sleep well or long, affects almost all of us at least some of the time.
Pain is probably the most common cause, but anxiety, nervousness, depression, or fear or any combination must be included. About 70% of my marijuana patients had pain to some degree. Most of them smoked or inhaled before going to bed to ensure sleep.

The VA medical system would like you to think that PTSD is depression, it isn't! It is a combination of extreme fear and extreme anguish.
Vietnam Vets learned marijuana was good and effective for "battle terrors," and therefore, why not PTSD? According to them, it was better than a whole list of very dangerous, zombifying and lethal drugs.
