Salem-News Reported U.S.-Mexico Inter-Military Task Force in 2010

(SALEM, Ore.) - Sadly, the last U.S. presidential administration taught us, the US citizens, a stunning lesson; if you lie often enough, and the media is in your pocket-- and they embrace your take--, almost anything you say can be conveyed to the public as fact or fiction; lies or truth, depending upon your preferences and your political needs of the time.

Well, one thing we feel here at Salem-News.com is the record must be firmly established with no doubts, when it comes to reporting on the escalating drug violence south of our border.
Salem-News.Com and NarcoNews; (online publishers of narcosphere), became aware of a secret United States military 'specialized' Task Force, that was actively working inside Mexico with the Mexican Army and Marines.
This was a US covert 'undercover' military unit, working a joint venture with the Mexican Navy's Marines also known as, 'Marinos'.
We here at Salem-News, as well as Narco News, were the first to report on the activities of this joint venture, which had been working our southern borders for more than a year before we were privileged to obtain the facts behind the story. We published our first findings in September 2010. The article came in with mixed reviews and lack luster interest, if any, by Mainstream Media (MSM).
Well now with the advent of 'Fast and Furious' and President Bush and his similar failed ATF 'WideReceiver', things have changed. Now politicians, federal agencies, and 'arms merchants', are all denying--once again, that they knew or were aware of the clandestine operations that were taking place inside Mexico.
This does not sit well with our Photojournalist, Robert Plumlee, who has been personally associated with the joint task force for almost three years... a very long time in the world of 'covert ops'.

As a former longtime CIA asset, Plumlee knows the drill, and he also knew a time when, in spite of questionable national policies, there was a totally different program in this 'thing' we call the U.S. government, and there were ethics; particular lines were not crossed, certainly rules were not bent, and people were more stand up by nature. Today the element is still in existence, particularly in the military, but in some parts of the U.S. government that type of integrity has left the building.
Those who maintain good will and integrity already regard Robert Plumlee with utmost respect. However, there are others who, perhaps, are possibly sidetracked by their own egos, their involvement, or perhaps their questionable ethics, which in all toll is unsavory at best, or worse, blatantly immoral and illegal. Those are the ones who are the thorns in the side of Plumlee and the joint Task Force. They are not keen with Plumlee's exposure, or his potentially damaging facts, which lead into an unknown world of weapon smuggling, insider cartel drug dealings, and graphic deaths.
None the less; We here at Salem-News.com report facts and truth... that is what we do, and we have a solid track record. We have a good, dedicated, reporting staff. In that we are proud.

When it comes to the current cartel activities, nobody in or outside of the government, in my opinion, based on years of working together, is Robert Plumlee. He contacted Senator Gary Hart two years before Iran Contra broke... providing documented maps with the fly ways through Central America and Mexico (El Toro Marine Air Station). Plumlee talked to Senator Kerry's committee after Iran Contra and Kerry's Sub Committee of Narocotics was formed. (ref;Senator Gary Hart letter toshplumlee.info) note the time line for contact with Senator Hart ... before the fact-- two years before the C-123 was shot down in Nicaragua which exposed the contra affair and Southern Air and Ollie North situation. The image to the right is a follow up memo regarding Plumlee's role in exposing the Iran-Contra Affair.
Five years later, a Marine Colonel named Jim Sabow discovered that plane loads of drugs were still being offloaded from unmarked C-130's in the middle of the night at his base, MCAS El Toro in Southern California, he blew the whistle and shortly after, was found dead in his backyard from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. However testimony from witnesses, place unknown men at the Sabow residence in base housing, and never did Sabow ever indicate that he would take his own life.
Moreover, his brother is a medical doctor named David Sabow and to this day, he continues to fight to bring truth to the story of his brother's untimely death. It is very clear when examining the ample evidence, that Col. Sabow was murdered and Robert Plumlee has been very helpful in our research of this story. As you note with the Iran-Contra Affair, the word 'cartel' has been in his vocabulary for a long time.

Mr. Plumlee points to a small U.S. border community of some 2,000 people that has developed into a real hot spot in the drug war. Columbus, N.M., is located in southern Luna County, about 70 miles west of El Paso, Texas; some 32 miles south of Deming, N.M.; and just across the border from Palomas, Mexico.
This high-desert border town has become a haven for narco-traffickers, specifically the Zetas, Plumlee explains.
Way back in May 2009, more than two years prior to the recent indictments involving Columbus’ town leaders, Narco News reported the following:
Plumlee says he spent some time in Columbus, on a hill overlooking the small town with the Task Force and a group of Border Patrol agents who had set up surveillance cameras from afar to keep an eye on two adjoining houses in the community.Plumlee claims the homes were purchased by narco-traffickers, who paid cash. He adds that as he looked on with the undercover team, a group of men at the homes were unloading cargo from two trucks parked near the abodes.
Plumlee said the Task Force and Border Patrol agents identified the cargo as a shipment of weapons.
“How do you know,” Plumlee says he asked the special agent.
“Because we have it on tape,” one of the Task Force agents responded, according to Plumlee.

After carrying this report, we were contacted by Mr. Ricardo Alday with the Mexican embassy in Washington D.C. who was clearly unhappy with our revelation of this information.

Mr. Alday sent a letter reprimanding us for our report, calling it "flimsy and single sided" and "patently false". It is entirely possibly that Mr. Alday did not know about the operation and was critical of our article, in earnest. Of course we forgive Mr. Alday for not knowing we are in Oregon.

In a nutshell, Mr. Plumlee used official channels to report to the proper federal agencies, both the U.S. federal gunwalking operation we now know as 'Fast and Furious', and nothing happened. By the same token, he has located human remains on the U.S. side of the border that authorities denied were worth investigating, even though Plumlee photographed the human bones lying above ground and included a GPS shot the make sure the officers or deputies could locate the sites.
It makes one wonder if the committees currently investigating 'Fast and Furious' know that Homeland Security and The State Department, as well as Justice and ATF were all notified- via proper protocol - about narco graves on the US side of the border and, 'ongoing,' gun running operations in the southern parts of New Mexico, namely Columbus New Mexico. These activities took place between 2009 and 2011 and were duly noted by border officials. There are numerous field reports accounting for each episode since 2010, as confirmed by the US Task Force. The Border Patrol has also made many reports to Homeland Security concerning these "alleged" activities.

The field reports were forwarded to proper agencies. The Border Patrol Intelligence units, (El Paso, Texas, Santa Teresa, NM and Deming NM) filed a series of 'de briefing' field reports, which they had obtained from Task Force members operating near Palomas MX and Columbus NM. These time date stamped, US Border Patrol reports were sent to Homeland Security. Those reports were eventuality forwarded to the US State Department and they were detailed in nature.
The US military's 'joint Task Force', operating inside Mexico with the Mexican Navy 'Marinos', also filed their field reports through Ft Bliss Texas and then on to the Pentagon and CIA, or visa-verse.
In spite of Mr. Alday's protests, and all of the official denials, who other than Wikileaks would be the first (other than Salem-News and Narco News, to break the story on the big news about US troops operating inside Mexico jointly with the Marinos. Wikileaks became proof that everything Salem- News and narcosphere had previously reported, concerning Mr. Plumlee and the information he had obtained from the joint Task Force, was spot on... right down to the last crosses of all the tees.

Most of all, Robert Plumlee says he is surprised to hear these agencies say they know or knew nothing about this.
"I am also surprised the committees, 'allegedly' looking into theses matters, claim they are unaware of these Border Patrol and US military reports, -- not to mention the past articles written at the time the operations were on going'. I see familiar fingerprints in all this. I sure hope I am wrong".
Our goal at Salem-News.com has in this case, been to get this information out there, so that no agencies can deny its existence, facts are facts.
Plumlee said, "I see it as information before the fact, and releasing to others for background might protect me to some degree in the future. I've kind of lost faith in the committee's work... getting too 'political' and narrow in scope... perhaps a cover up to the highest degree... been here before. Its not a good feeling".
The truth shall prevail, Americans are in a perilous time, fighting unwinnable wars in the Middle east, killing innocent people and spending billions in the process, while the violence at our national border grows totally out of control.
As a final thought, the group Insight & Analysis for Government Decision Makers published Customs & Immigration- US Working to Infiltrate, Acquire Intelligence on Mexican Cartels, Terrorist Groups by Anthony Kimery 25 Oct. 2011. It goes into some of the details about the military operation involving both countries that Robert Plumlee revealed.
Interestingly, it also explores a bizarre yet predictable angle; that this is all connected to "Islamist jihadist terrorist organizations" which seems an extraordinary claim, as the cartel problems are almost exclusively local; I hate to say "drug crazed Mexicans" and I don't mean it in a demeaning way, but that is the true description of most of the people who carry out the illegal drug trade, which mostly revolves around methamphetamine. Ill-gotten wealth obtained through sin is totally haraam. 'Haraam' is the highest status of prohibition given to anything that would result in sin when a Muslim commits it. The drug trade is haraam, but the biggest offense in the Islamic world is murder. Cartels like Los Zetas routinely kill women and children, it doesn't add up.
It is an interesting article, but I believe the 'Islamic Jihad' part is purely the media performing its political maneuvering for a country that took its eye off the ball for too long, that is the United States.

Editor: In regards to the comment by Vic..Yet again, Alex Jones already focused on this..He has a video of being checkpointed, 140 miles inside the U.S. border. He also has video of TSA checkpoints all over the country, and his videos from 10 years ago all predicted this...You REALLY should start paying attention to Alex Jones when you have time. The documentaries he made that I urged people to view on this website are amazing. Written years ago and ALL of his predictions are in our face now. People best wake up quickly, and Alex is a good start..As mentioned to Collie, after you get thru the Alex basics, then go to Alan Watt.
Editor: Your version of mainstream media, I know he hits some things but the checkpoints you think he somehow 'broke' to the world, I used to pass through frequently as a news reporter in Yuma, Ariz., like 1995, dig? What you refer to is far from a secret, but your hero AJ manages to make all kinds of things that are simple fare sensational.

Obama and AG Holder need to have a special prosecutor come in. Most all other people who have been connected to this gun-running like them would have been indicted and arrested. Considering that Obama has the "pardon power," hope you people like the change he brought to you from Chicago thuggery and deny deny deny...

I live in Nayarit, Mexico in the coastal port of San Blas. In the last week, I was searched along with eight of my friends by the police, (I was the only Gringo) and twice our neighborhood has been searched/raided by masked, armed Marinos. This is in the last seven days. There appears to be a real tightening down on the drug trade here. Our neighborhood is under scrutiny because this is where the boats first come in from the sea. People tolerate the searches and laugh them off...the Marinos and the police here are always courteous and polite. My advice to Mexico or any other country in the world..keep the American govt out or you will regret it. It is like letting a rattlesnake into your house to kill a mouse..the "cure" aint worth it. And eventually, the snake will turn on you. Mexico appears to be doing a hell of a lot more to combat the drug trade than the US, which is the world's largest consumer of drugs, legal or otherwise..
Tim King: Thanks Vic, that is a large point in all of this, the Mexican government is doing what they can and part of the focus has been on how the U.S. govt. is interfering with operations and the Mexican president and AG have both stated that they sought information on Fast and Furious from D.C. and were essentially denied. Beyond that, we know without question that the U.S. has supplied the weapons used to kill not just Mexican nationals and immigrants, but also two U.S. federal agents. I have only heard the best things about the Marinos and the recent story we carried about Mexico firing a thousand cops of questionable ethics was also fantastic, I don't remember anything like that taking place on this side of the border. Alex Jones knew this was happening over 5 years ago, and presented all the documentation 5 years ago to prove it...It may have been more like 7-8 years cant remember the exact year.. I have been listening to Alex Jones radio program for over ten years, and have found it to be the most reliable, accurate, (especially predictions), of any radio host or website. You should add it to your daily reading, and try and listen to his radio/internet program..

I wish I could say that I find what Tim is saying hard to believe. However, everything in this article makes perfect sense. Most of us eventually learn that you can only kiss a snake on the lips so many times before getting your face bitten. The current administration and Congress seem to be unable to function without wading neck deep in corruption, lies, and a total lack of care for the rest of humankind who inhabit the world. I, for one, am finished kissing those snakes on the lips! While I know that certain elements of Muslim extremists would love to see us wiped from the face of the earth, I believe inserting them into this issue was nothing more than an attempt to shift focus and rally U.S. citizens against an imaginary player in this heinous game.
