Urgent Appeal

Keep in mind that people need to eat every day.. not just at Holidays. So... give again!

(WINDSOR, N.H.) - Homeless and hungry Christmas is fast approaching and food pantries along with “soup” kitchens across America are almost universally experiencing hardship. Not only are pantries suffering major shortages in supplies and donations, they are experiencing dramatically increased numbers of homeless and/or hungry patrons.

In conversations with a number of Samaritan services throughout the nation a picture emerges that fails to support the “official” statements of elected representatives from Selectmen all the way up to the President.

Old Man Winter Visits New Hampshire

Throughout the Northeast into tonight, bridges and overpasses will be the first to turn slick.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - New Hampshire, Saturday night. The snow started here at 3:00 p.m. EST and I went out to measure it at exactly 8:30pm EST and we have exactly 13 inches. That is over 2 inches an hour and on October 29th. At this rate, we'll be snowbound by 6:00 a.m.

AccuWeather.com meteorologists are worried that many more could follow tonight. Temperatures dropping below freezing through tonight will allow the historic snowstorm to cover roadways throughout the Northeast much easier than during the daylight hours.

A Government of the Party, by the Party, and for the Party?

It appears that our form of government has been corrupted and bastardized by an overwhelming greed for money and power.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - New Hampshire state capitol There is an old adage that says “As New Hampshire goes... so goes the country”.

This has been used in reference to elections but may actually apply to events and actions more far-reaching than elections.

Party Differences are Set-Aside for Veterans

Four New Hampshire officials set aside political differences to establish a full-service hospital for military veterans in their state.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - New Hampshire flag Anyone who has regularly read my opinion pieces knows that I tend to be a critic of most Washington politicians.

The regular collusion, corruption, and selfishness that exist in and regularly emanates from our nation’s capitol are shameful at best.

Free Staters: Bold Experiment in Living Free or the Drinking Man`s Tea Party

While a serious libertarian effort in the state seems to exist, the message remains cloudy.

(WINDSOR, N.H.) - Free State Project Essentially, FSP offers a very minimally defined objective which carefully dissociates itself from the activities of its members & friends. FSP, as an organization, assumes no responsibility for the actions of its followers and, at least on the surface, does not endorse any actions.

According to statement on its website, “The FSP has no political platform, nor even an agenda for what participants must do. Instead, each participant chooses the issue(s) to focus on, the tactics to use, and the people to work with. This freedom has resulted in a dynamic and successful community of activists”.

`Great Salad Bowl`?

The fact that we were a "great melting pot" gave us the strength to endure because, first and foremost, we were all Americans ... each adding their own flavor to the blend in the pot.

(Harrisville, N.H.) - Salem-News.com America has been known as "the great melting pot" for as long as I can remember. People from every corner of the globe combined as Americans to make our country great. They took advantage of opportunities that existed here that did not exist in their native lands.

Opportunities to reap the benefits of their own hard work, opportunities to worship God in their own way, opportunities to speak their minds freely, and opportunities to raise their families in peace and safety.

Has There Been a Paradigm Shift in American Politics?

As a young boy, I was taught to examine the individual running for office — to examine his or her background, experience, history and political record.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - American flag For most of my life, the independent American voter has had clear choices between voting for a liberal candidate or a conservative candidate — usually either a Democrat or a Republican.

Then, depending on the situation at the time the voter visited the polling booth, he or she could decide which approach would be best for the state or the country.

Abolishing any Constitutionally Guaranteed Right Can Place us on a Very Slippery Slope!

The founding fathers each personally gave up a great deal in establishing our country as a sovereign entity.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - I understand that the Constitution was meant to be a living document that would change with the times, but there are certain basic rights that were included by the Founding Fathers that they deemed as critical to the establishment and/or continuation of the freedoms we enjoy today.

The right to keep and bear arms was one of these.

Career Politicians: It`s Time to Show Them the Door!

I think the voters of Utah deserve a huge “Attaboy” for getting the ball rolling.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - Senator Bob Bennett Courtesy lawdork.net Three-term Republican Senator Bob Bennett was tossed out on his ear at the Utah GOP state convention on Saturday, May 8.

What happened in Utah is exactly what is needed! The army of career politicians (both Democrat and Republican) that supposedly represent us in Washington, D.C., have financially raped and pillaged the legal American citizen for too long.
