Pot Goes Mainstream on NBC`s Today Show (VIDEO)

Studies indicate that 8 million American women smoked marijuana in the last year.

(LOS ANGELES) - Joanna Coles, and Dr. Julie Holland It was interesting to watch Matt Lauer have to be "cool" about marijuana in this week's NBC Today Show segment titled "Stiletto Stoners", which related a story of growing numbers of women who prefer pot as a wind down drug, that they see as far less harmful than alcohol or other substances.

Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles, is one of many modern professional women who disagree with the somewhat common belief, that there is a large social stigma attached to smoking marijuana.

PTSD: Rapacious Demons in Our Heads, Psychiatric Malpractice in Grey`s Anatomy

One Hollywood TV show receives favorable reviews, from a doctor who would know.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - The cast of Grey's Anatomy I believe Grey's Anatomy as a depiction of the life of Medical/Surgical interns and residents is outstanding. I went through that meat grinder myself and I psychologically compared it to front-line infantry combat. Death is/was the enemy and as interns, green as glass, it seemed sometimes that we were required to know MORE than the Senior Residents or Staff Doctors.

Medical Cannabis 201: Education for Federal Cannabis Cretins

I only hope that the NIDA cretins will read this article. They need to know how wrong they are!!

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Salem-News.com I am so disgusted with the Federal Employees of NIDA (National Institute of Drug Abuse) et cetera and their egregious lies and distortions about cannabis that I have contracted a case of REEFER MADNESS in both acute and chronic forms.

They themselves have not educated themselves beyond the movie that is truly pathetic, pitiful and harmful to patients.

A letter to Salem-News.com, from a friend of Jack Herer's.

(HANOVER, Ontario) - Laurence Cherniak and Jack Herer Hemp Icon Jack Herer, author of "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" had a heart attack last weekend at Hempstalk in Portland, Oregon. Jack & his wife Jeannie are friends of Salem-News.com, and we have been covering the event with as much respect as possible over the last few days.

Last Friday, a news organization released an article claiming that Jack had died, when in fact he had not. Moreover, the writer was extremely disrespectful toward Jack. We called the hospital and confirmed that the information was false, and quickly published the fact that Jack was very much alive, and remained in critical condition. It is an honor to receive and publish this response from one of Jack's oldest friends.

Portland Media Group Releases False Report About Jack Herer`s Death

Jack Herer is in critical but stable condition.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Friends of Jack Herer's are peeved over an alleged journalist with the Portland Examiner.com, who released an article Friday stating that the hemp icon had died. In reality, Jack continues fighting for his life in a Portland Hospital following a heart attack Saturday; the information was blatantly false.

I sure don't see this type of mistake very often, and I am not sure if there are actual reporters at this publication, or if it is a "citizen journalist" site where nobody is actually required to check facts. A simple call to the hospital perhaps?
