Group describes problems as large and out of control and faults church politics for dealing with sex abuse of children behind closed doors.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Father John Shuster, Salem-News.com's Tim King and Catholic Priest sex abuse survivor Bill Crane Members of SNAP say the Portland Archdiocese is harboring pedophile priests and failing to produce court ordered records.

They describe the problems as large and out of control and fault church politics which deals with sex abuse of children behind closed doors.

Barack Obama Visits Oregon Cities (VIDEO)

Obama's Oregon visit concluded just recently with his visit to Eugene where the "Stand For Change" Rally was held at the University of Oregon.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Bill Richardson and Barack Obama Barack Obama came to Oregon today, with stops in Eugene, Salem and Portland. His highly anticipated visit seemed to go off without a hitch and it featured a bonus in Portland in the form of a personal endorsement from Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico.

"Whether it was as a congressman or cabinet secretary, ambassador or governor, there are few more distinguished public servants in America than Governor Richardson, and I am deeply honored to have his support," Senator Obama said.

Candlelight Vigil Attended by Hundreds in Salem (VIDEO)

Veterans were joined by mothers, fathers, grandmothers and other family members of those serving overseas.

(SALEM, Ore.) - One of many who attended  candlelight vigil Hundreds of thousands of Americans gathered last night to honor and pay respects to all who have fallen during the last five years of fighting in Iraq. In Salem hundreds attended a candlelight vigil on the state capitol steps.

The event was hosted by MoveOn.org and other activist groups. People in attendance burned candles, sang songs and stood together in a show of solidarity.

Representatives Say US Supreme Court Gun Case Could Impact Oregon.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The U.S. Supreme Court hears oral arguments today on the strictest gun ban in the country, and state lawmakers say the outcome could have implications here in Oregon.

"Whatever the decision by the high court, it could be the most significant Second Amendment case in our nation’s history," said State Representative Linda Flores (R-Clackamas).

China Moves To Arrest Hundreds as Deadline in Tibet Passes (VIDEO)

Authorities in areas of western China banned all media reporting of anti-Chinese protests.

(KATHMANDU, Tibet) - Dalai Lama of Tibet Authorities began arresting hundreds in the wake of anti-Chinese protests over the weekend in Tibet, as a deadline passed for those involved in recent marches, demonstrations, and rioting to "surrender" to police.

One witness in Lhasa said armed police were rounding up "hundreds" of suspects.
