Oregon Guard Blackhawk Helicopter Crews Undergo Chemical Weapons Training (VIDEO)

The training is something that the federal government requires the state National Guard units to participate in.

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Blackhawk helicopter crews from the Oregon National Guard spent time in McMinnville Wednesday; they were there to participate in a special chemical training exercise.

The scenario is based on a terrorist incident.

The people participating in the training exercise say it is hard work.

The actors are portraying people who are very sick from a chemical attack; and the flight crews have to conduct the training with special NBC or Nuclear Biological Chemical warfare gear.

Kansas Police Anxious to Locate Suspect in Teen Girl`s Murder (VIDEO)

Police agencies including the FBI are looking for the suspect or suspects in the tragic kidnapping and murder of 18-year old Kelsey Smith of Overland Park.

(OVERLAND PARK, Kansas) - Kelsey Smith as a high school senior Investigators on the Kansas/Missouri border discovered a body at approximately 1:30 PM Wednesday, in an area that was part of an intense search for a missing teenager who had been abducted from a Target store Saturday.

Overland Park Police Chief John Douglass shared the bad news with the family this afternoon, "Pending completion of forensics examination, we believe we have found Kelsey Smith."

We're talking about a 6,000 pound thrust jet engine straight out of a corporate jet airplane, complete with afterburner, placed in a fiberglass bodied drag funny car that actually has the capability of running the quarter mile in five and a half seconds!

This was just one of many attractions at this year’s Night of Fire car show, held in Keizer. Proceeds from this year’s event will go to fight meth problems in the Salem/Keizer

Seven Killed in NATO Helicopter Crash in Afghanistan (VIDEO)

Initial media reports said the helicopter was hit with a rocket-propelled grenade. Included in this report is a look at the type of helicopter that crashed, filed recently by Tim King in Afghanistan.

(KABUL, Afghanistan) - CH-47 Chinook photo Five Americans and two other soldiers were killed when a NATO Chinook helicopter was shot down in southern Afghanistan Wednesday.

The Taliban claimed credit for shooting it down. Ambushed troops eventually called for an air strike to eliminate the threat, NATO said.

The memorial exists for thousands, but it was inspired by the loss of Erik Kesterson. His parents, Clay and M.J. led the drive to build this tribute, which the first of its type anywhere in the nation.

Southern California Soldier Found Dead in Iraq (VIDEO)

Back in Torrance, California, where Joe Anzack played football for South High and graduated in 2005, people are feeling the loss.

(BAGHDAD, Iraq) - Joe Anzack in Iraq, October 2nd, 2006 The body of Pfc. Joseph Anzack Jr., who was reported missing in Iraq for the second time in two months - has been discovered south of Baghdad.

After an intensive search involving thousands, Iraqi police say they found the body of a Western-looking man in the river in the Mussayab area, the "Triangle of Death." Joe Anzack's body had bullet wounds and signs of torture.
