US Students Participate in Israel Boycott

Suspect Sought in Second-Degree Attempted Murder and Robbery

Miguel Torres is believed to be in the Beaverton Oregon area with significant ties to Vancouver.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - 18-year old Miguel Andrew Torres-Izazaga The Vancouver Safe Streets Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in locating a wanted person, 18-year old Miguel Andrew Torres-Izazaga, who may be using the name "Angel" Izazaga or "Stomper".

Sgt Tim Huberty with Vancouver Police says there is currently a warrant for his arrest for Attempt Murder II and Robbery for an incident that happened on December 14th in the 4200 block of E 18th Street.

Senate Passes FY 2010 Defense Appropriations Bill

The Senate says the bill includes a number of other provisions that are necessary to meet obligations and prevent crucial programs from lapsing.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - U.S. Senate The U.S. Senate today approved the Fiscal Year 2010 Defense Appropriations bill by a vote of 88 to 10. The bill is identical to the legislation that passed the House of Representatives on December 16th, and will now go to the President for his expected signature.

The Fiscal Year 2010 Defense Appropriations Bill continues to put troops first, preparing them for whatever emergencies may arise, providing them with first class weapons and equipment, and ensuring that they and their families are well taken care of.

Shots Fired Near Crowd at Salem Bar (VIDEO)

The suspect reportedly fired 4 to 6 shots in the air, with one round striking the roof line of the building.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Police say a gunman fired several shots near a crowd of people early this morning in the parking lot of The Triangle Bar, at the intersection of Triangle and South Liberty in Salem. Salem Police arrived on the scene shortly after the shots were fired, around 1:15 a.m.

The suspect reportedly fired 4 to 6 shots in the air, with one round striking the roof line of the building, no other slugs were recovered, and no one was hit, or injured.

Police Investigate Fatal Crash Near Detroit

There is a second unconfirmed serious traffic crash farther up Highway 22, near mile post 76.

(DETROIT, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police are on the scene of a fatal traffic crash on Highway 22 near Idanha. There are few details and it is not confirmed if weather played a role in the crash. They say it happened this afternoon near mile post 56.

Police say the highway is blocked, with one confirmed fatality and other people are injured. Police say there is no more information for release at this point.

Three Critically Injured in Highway 22 Crash

Local police refer to this stretch of highway west of Dallas as Blood Alley over the high number of serious crashes.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Serious crash west of Salem, Oregon 12-18-09 Police say three people were critically injured Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 22 west of Dallas. Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation, according to OSP Sergeant Bob Charpentier.

He says friday at approximately 2:17 p.m. a black Chevrolet HHR sport utility vehicle driven by 48-year old Jerry Dean Weber of Sheridan, was traveling westbound on Highway 22 near milepost 10.

River Patrol Retrieves Body from Sandy River

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office ‏says positive ID on body's location saved time.

(PORTLAND, Ore) - Death Investigation Multnomah County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on the Sandy River of deceased person on the river bank today at approximately 11:35 a.m.

Lt. Mary Lindstrand with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, says the body was discovered by a man floating down river on a fishing trip. The body is an adult male. The identity is not known at this time and will be determined by the coroner.
