Salem Police Investigate Three Bodies in Commercial Structure Fire

Firefighters discovered the remains of three human beings inside the building.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Salem Police investigators are on the scene of a fire that ripped through a commercial business in Salem Sunday evening.

Salem Police Lt. Dave Okada says it is too soon to know very much; as of mid-morning, the bodies had not yet been removed from the building.

One Person Dies in Crash Near Annex, Oregon

The single-car crash happened on Highway 95 Spur entering Annex.

(ANNEX, Ore.) - Crash near the Oregon/Idaho border 3-15-09 Police say one person died Sunday morning in eastern Oregon when the car he was driving failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 95 Spur entering the town of Annex, and crashed into a power pole.

The car caught fire and the victim, who has been tentatively identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

40 Anti-War Groups Demonstrate for Peace in Salem (VIDEO)

Numerous speakers took to the podium during this peace demonstration and rally.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem peace demonstration Hundreds of anti-war demonstrators gathered in Salem today to call for an end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and to condemn the Israeli attacks on Gaza. The event was also held to stand for the rights of immigrants.

The march was actually put together by 40 different organizations and KBOO Radio was there to help spread the word of peace through the airwaves.
