Public's help sought in OSP Fish & Wildlife investigation of deer heads Left in Newport parking lot.
(NEWPORT, Ore.) -
The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for the public's help to identify the person responsible for dumping a cardboard box Wednesday morning containing deer heads in a Newport-area parking lot.
Sergeant Todd Thompson with the OSP Fish & Wildlife Division in Newport, says it was discovered Wednesday at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Oregon Leaders Welcome Navy Decision to Hold Public Meeting on Its Plans for Coast

(WASHINGTON D.C.) -
U.S. Senators Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Jeff Merkley, along with Oregon Congressmen Kurt Schrader, David Wu, Peter DeFazio, and Earl Blumenauer, welcomed the Navy’s decision today to hold a public meeting on February 26, 2009, in Tillamook, Oregon so that the public can respond to its environmental impact statement regarding future Navy operations along the Northwest coast.
The meeting will take place at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds Auditorium at 4603 E. 3rd Street in Tillamook. The Navy’s decision comes after the Oregon members requested an extension of the public comment period and a public meeting earlier this month.

Milwaukie Police are looking for a missing 15-year old girl from Woodland, Washington believed to be with a 34-year old Milwaukie man.
Nicole "Nikki" Christine Warner was last seen in January 2009. Officer Kevin Krebs with Milwaukie Police says she is believed to be with 34-year old Robert Harvey Best of Milwaukie.

After robbing the business, the suspect fled on foot, and was gone before police arrived.
(BEAVERTON, Ore.) -
An armed robbery suspect was captured on cameras today at Elmer's Pancake House on NW Waterhouse Avenue in Beaverton. Detective Pam Yazzolino with Beaverton Police, says just before 7:30 a.m., a lone male who was armed, walked into the video poker area from an outside door.
"He displayed a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied, giving the man an undisclosed amount of cash."

The driver was cited for Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian in an Unmarked Crosswalk.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
McMinnville Police and Fire Department paramedics responded to a reported motor vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon that involved a pedestrian in a motorized wheelchair being struck by a motor vehicle.
McMinnville Police Chief Ron Noble says the crash occurred in McMinnville at the intersection of NE 4th Street and NE Evans Street at 3:48 p.m.

The Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University will present an exhibition of ancient and medieval lamps March 14 through May 17 in the Study Gallery.
Organized by Willamette Art History Professor Ann Nicgorski and Yale University Art Gallery curator Lisa Brody, From Hestia’s Sacred Fire to Christ’s Eternal Light will feature about 84 oil lamps from the Bogue Collection at the Middle East Studies Center at Portland State University.

The suspect is described as a skinny Hispanic male, late 30's or early 40's, five foot eight to five foot ten inches tall, with a mustache, driving a black older model Honda 4-door with faded paint.

Marion County deputies in Salem responded to the 4800 block of Satter Drive NE regarding an attempted abduction last evening around 5:30 p.m.
Lt. Sheila Lorance with the Marion County Sheriff's Office says the victim, a 12-year old boy, reported that around 5:30 p.m., he was walking home from a friend's house.
