Amber Alert Canceled for Girl in Indiana

The Indiana State Police canceled the Amber Alert after the girl was found on Sunday night. There is no further information available at this time.

(TERRE HAUTE, Indiana) - The missing girl and suspect The Indiana State Police issued an Amber Alert on Sunday afternoon after a small girl was reportedly abducted in Vigo, Indiana, approximately 12 miles south of Terre Haute.

Police say the girl has been located.

Three Die in Crash on Highway 224

Police say all names will be released following positive identification of the deceased persons and next of kin notifications.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Police say two people died and one was seriously injured early this morning in a single vehicle crash on Highway 224 about thirty miles east of Estacada. The names of the three occupants are withheld pending positive identification and next of kin notifications.

Oregon State Police Sergeant Fred Testa says that around 5:53 AM, a report was received of a single vehicle crash on Highway 224 in the Ripplebrook area near milepost 49.

Deputies Avoid Shooting Knife Wielding Cat Killer Suspect in Aloha

Aloha man accused of killing cat and resisting arrest and several other charges.

(ALOHA, Ore.) - 28-year old Ryan Daggett of Aloha is the suspect in a resisting arrest and cat killing incident; 5-31-08 An Aloha man faces numerous charges from an incident that began early Saturday morning, as deputies attempted to perform a welfare check at his home on SW Sammy Drive in Aloha.

What followed was a bizarre series of incidents; involving a knife wielding man, slashed police cruiser tires, and a dead cat.

Greenpeace Kicks Off Global Warming Campaign in Salem

Over 50 locals turn out for global warming event.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Aerial shot of the Salem/Keizer Oregon area by Tim King Salem-News.com On Saturday local Greenpeace staff announced the start of a campaign to work with community members who are concerned about the threat global warming poses to Oregon’s environment and way-of-life by registering volunteers at a community event.

Senior energy analyst Christopher Dymond of Oregon Department of Energy talked about the local benefits of renewable energy and Greenpeace organizer Sofia Gidlund spoke of the goals of the campaign.

Body Recovered From Ocean Near Depoe Bay

The body was found in 40 feet of water 1/2 mile south of Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint in Lincoln County.

(DEPOE BAY, Ore.) - Area where the body was found near Depoe Bay, Oregon 5-31-08: Oregon State Police and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office are investigating the discovery of a body Saturday afternoon in the Pacific Ocean south of Depoe Bay.

They say at this point that there are are no signs of foul play and the body has not been positively identified, according to Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division Sergeant Todd Thompson.

Police Say Father and Son Shot Each Other During Family Argument

Alcohol reportedly drove the fight between the men that led to the shooting.

(GRANDE RONDE, Ore.) - Shooting incident Polk County deputies were called to the scene of a shooting with multiple victims Friday night at 8:40 PM.

While enroute, they were advised of a report that two people were shot at a residence on Andy Riggs Road in Grand Ronde.
