87-Year Old Woman Attacked By Four Dogs in Estacada

Investigators say the dog's owners were cooperative.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - 87-year old woman who was attacked by a dog in Oregon, 6-1-08 An 87-year old woman survived an attack by four dogs Saturday around 7:25 PM as she was taking her nightly stroll on SE Divers Road in Estacada.

Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says Stella A. Severtsen was attacked and bitten by four dogs that escaped from a well enclosed, 8-foot tall chain link kennel area.

Police Arrest Man for Exposing Himself in Big Lots Store

A female employee reportedly confronted the man and told him to put his genitals back in his pants. He is said to have replied, "Oh, is that mine?" and continued to fondle himself.

(ALOHA, Ore.) - 42-year old Daniel A. Hemmerling of Vancouver Investigators in Washington County say a man was arrested for exposing himself to employees and customers at the Aloha Big Lots store.

Sgt. David Thompson, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office in Washington County, says the suspect was chased from the store by employees and later arrested hiding in an adjacent business that he had broken into.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Carlyle Group advisor and former Time Inc. Editor-in-Chief Norman Pearlstine said during a recent Argyle Executive Forum media conference that newspaper profits have declined sharply with the growth of online news content.

Pearlstine, recently named Chief Content Officer at Bloomberg, told attendees that newspapers “remain viable businesses” and that “they remain capable of generating consistent cash flow, but they are not going to have the kinds of margins again that they’ve had in the past.”

Deputies in Salem Say Burglary Suspect was Caught in the Act

The home owner or owners, were not at the location when this incident occurred.

(SALEM, Ore.) - 24-year old Sean T. Kirk of Salem Marion County deputies say they nabbed a burglar in the act of removing items from a Salem home in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to Commander Jason Myers with the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Deputies Lance Weitman and Bob Arnsmeier were dispatched to a residential alarm at a home on Inland Drive S. in Salem at 1:04 AM.

Police make Third Arrest in Wasco County Death Investigation

The defendants are also charged with six counts of Burglary in the First Degree.

(THE DALLES) - Enrique Ibarez is a suspect in a Wasco County, Oregon Homicide case Police say a third person was arrested this weekend in relation to the May 25th death of a man in The Dalles.

Police officers arrested 18-year old Francisco Enriquez Ibarez of The Dalles, on a warrant issued by Wasco County Circuit Court Judge John Kelly. The warrant was issued after the Wasco County Grand Jury returned indictments against defendants Enriquez Ibarez, Jamia Long and Selu King for recklessly causing the death of Bernardino Peral Sanchez on May 25th 2008.

Two People Die in Crash on Highway 224 East of Estacada

Police say the car was eastbound on Highway 224 negotiating a left curve when it lost control and drove off the right shoulder.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Double fatal crash, Estacada, Oregon 6-1-08 Two people died and one was seriously injured early Sunday morning in a single vehicle crash on Highway 224 about thirty miles east of Estacada, Oregon State Police say.

A motorist came upon the scene of a tree across the highway and upon checking the situation spotted a car down an embankment where one of the occupants was seriously injured but alive.

Men Arrested in Drive By Shooting Allegedly Firing at Pursuing Cars

Police say a suspect in the back of a pickup fired approximately 10 rounds at the two vehicles chasing them.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Dylan Thomas Debutts and Bradley John Zurfluh each face six counts of Attempted Murder in Linn County, Oregon Rounds from at least one gun blazed at two pursuing vehicles following a drive by shooting in Albany that led to two men being arrested on Attempted Murder and several other charges, police there say.

Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller, says deputies are investigating an attempted murder that occurred in Albany that resulted in a car chase by the intended victims that ended in the Oakville area west of Tangent.
