As they try to push our tired and beleaguered military into a needless war with Iran, it is only fair to place a name with a face.

(SALEM, Ore.) - These are the people trying to drive the United States into a needless war with Iran when they already don`t adequately care for the number of veterans we have now. American soldiers say they won't go to a war in Iran. That is not something you heard very much during Bush's set up to attack Iraq. Why are we so intent on seeing this nation as an enemy when they have done nothing to us?

Idaho Man Dies in Unusual Traffic Crash Near Hermiston

Police say the victim, a 72-year old male, suddenly awoke and grabbed the steering wheel, causing the truck to crash.

(HERMISTON, Ore.) - A Kellogg, Idaho man riding as a passenger in a pickup died Monday afternoon in an unusual crash in which investigators believe he played a contributing role in the pickup losing control on Interstate 84 about four miles west of the Interstate 82 interchange.

Oregon State Police Sergeant Allan Muhs says it happened Monday at approximately 3:00 PM, as the 2000 Ford Ranger pickup driven by 45-year old Janie Lowrain Mechaud of Kellogg, Idaho was eastbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 175.

Dead Geese in Keizer Lake Test Positive for Rodenticide

Zinc phosphide is allowed for use on golf courses and for such crops as wheat, grass grown for seed, nursery products, and berries.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Staats Lake Five of six samples taken from geese that died at Staats Lake in Keizer are positive for the rodenticide zinc phosphide, according to results from Michigan State University’s Center for Integrative Toxicology.

Man Faces List of Charges Over Kidnapping and Police Chase

Man is arrested for Kidnap, Assault, Vehicle Theft and Attempt to Elude.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - A Seattle, Washington man is in custody tonight after he allegedly assaulted a Wilsonville woman and stole her sport utility vehicle by forcibly entering the vehicle near Wilsonville.

The suspect attempted to elude Oregon State Police troopers and Keizer police officers before crashing the vehicle and trying to elude on foot, according to OSP Sergeant Michael W Stupfel.

Suspects Involved in Silverton Police Shooting Arrested

The second suspect was apprehended at 2:30 PM this afternoon, following a day-long manhunt by numerous area law enforcement officers and agencies.

(SILVERTON, Ore.) - 35-year old Aliksey Londura was taken into custody around 8:00 AM this morning. Silverton Police captured one suspect early this morning and they were on the lookout for another after both allegedly attempted to run down a Silverton Police officer. That event reportedly led to an officer-involved shooting.

Police Chief Rick Lewis indicated in a press release, that it began at 3:01 AM, when Silverton Police Officers were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress at Champion Homes located at 1204 Mill St. Silverton.

VA Inadvertently Confirms that a Thousand Vets a Month are Attempting Suicide

An email intercepted by CBS News shows that the VA's head of Mental Health has knowingly lied to the public, repeatedly.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The number of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans attempting to commit suicide today in the United States is about 1,000 a month, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs' head of Mental Health, Dr. Ira Katz.

The news is numbing, and the VA did not mean to let it out. It seems the spirit of CBS News is alive and well, as the network's news department has cracked wide open the VA's fictitious position; that less than 800 vets were taking their own lives every year.

Canby Firefighters Execute Difficult Jaws of Life Recovery

The firefighters had a job on their hands; keeping the car from tipping over during the unusual rescue operation.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Rollover crash near Canby, Oregon. 4-21-08 Canby Fire District rescue team members responded to a rollover accident this morning on 99E north of Canby. The circumstances with the rolled car proved to be a challenge.

Deputy Fire Marshal Todd Gary says firefighters arrived to find the vehicle on its side in a unstable position. He says they where then confronted with the question of how to extricate the driver from the vehicle.
