Arlington Mayor Gets Recalled, Turns to Ebay

142 people in Arlington voted in favor of the recall, while 139 voted against it.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Carmen Kontur Gronquist The Mayor of Arlington, Oregon, Carmen Kontur Gronquist, has been recalled from office over a photo she posted of herself on her personal MySpace page. The photo showed her wearing what appears to be lingerie, or possibly a two piece bathing suit.

The photo had been taken before her election to office, but that didn't stop the townspeople in this conservative eastern Oregon city from recalling her from office over it. Some cited the fact that the picture was taken by a city fire.

$20,000 Reward Offered in String of Hoax Bombs at Recruiting Office

The group uses the name "Die Weisse Rose" was the name of a small group of anti-Hitler activists in Germany during World War II.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The FBI is offering up to a $10,000 reward to match the $10,000 reward offered by the Defense Criminal Investigative Service for the identification, arrest and conviction of those responsible for a series of hoax bomb threats at military recruiting stations in Oregon.

A spokesperson for the FBI office in Portland says a total of four incidents date back almost a year.

Newberg-Dundee Police Investigate Suspicious Circumstances at Local Company

A-dec, Inc. is Yamhill County's largest employer with over 950 employees.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Newberg-Dundee Police are continuing their investigation into a case involving suspicious circumstances at A-dec, a Newberg dental equipment manufacturing company.

Police say they were called Monday over a threat of a potentially violent act on the A-dec campus. Increased security and employee awareness measures were taken, according to Sgt. Tim Weaver with Newberg-Dundee Police.

Man Arrested for Throwing Firewood Through Window of Passing Truck

Police say it arose over a perceived speeding violation.

(MILWAUKIE, Ore.) - Truck involved in the incident Police in Milwaukie arrested a man Saturday after he allegedly threw a piece of firewood through the window of a truck he thought was driving too fast on his street.

Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says that around 11:00 AM Saturday, 39-year old Willliam Walter Wiley reportedly heaved a piece of firewood through the driver's-side window of a speeding truck -- injuring its occupants. Strovink says Wiley was arrested and cited.

Several Arrested on Meth and Heroin Charges in Salem

Salem Drug Investigation leads to arrests & seizure of drugs valued at over $48,000

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Detectives from the Salem Police Street Crimes Unit and Drug Activity Response Team were conducting a drug investigation Monday which resulted in a number of arrests and charges.

Lt. Jim Anglemier with Salem Police says it began when detectives observed a drug deal in a North Salem parking lot and contacted two of the subjects involved, which ultimately led to several arrests.
