Society has been overwhelmed by propaganda and malign intent by a group determined to delude and manipulate citizen understandings for their own political purposes. It is time for change.

Local control of our schools, from grade one through Grad level, has been a basic American principle ever since Colonial days. Our founders placed control of education within the domain of every state for good reasons.
In general, "local control" has provided the close supervision and honored the preferences of those paying-the-bill through school funding via property taxes set by each state by its own voters.

Circumcision is flying to the front of medical and political arguments as Americans face the idea that we as a society may be gravely in error in our choice to allow doctors to complete circumcisions of young boys, particularly those just born which is the common approach in most cases.
Experts on both sides of the argument are esteemed researchers, but a closer look at what circumcision really brings us; campaigns for Viagra and a lack of sexual satisfaction in men, shows that it may be among our worst and most cruel cultural practices.

Scam Alert Issued for Oregon Health Plan Applicants

For the first time since mid-2004, the state is preparing to accept new enrollees for the OHP-Standard benefit package.
(SALEM, Ore.) -
Oregonians who want to get their names on the Oregon Health Plan reservation list that opens January 28th should say "no" to anyone who calls asking for a Social Security number.
"The state will not call you inviting you to sign up, and you are not required to give your Social Security number to get on the list," said Jim Edge, state Medicaid director in the Oregon Department of Human Services. "If someone calls you and asks for a Social Security number, you should not provide it."

Pirates along the Southeast Asia coastline murder, rape and pillage the vessels of tourists and refugees on a regular basis, and the problems have escalated in recent years with the advancement of boats and weaponry that allow these criminals of the sea to easily overpower and lay siege to innocent people.
Ever picture that happening to you? You might if you were a young person living near a seaport in another part of the world where young girls are highly valued in the human trafficking and sex slave markets. That is just part of the dark side of piracy and the danger these criminal sailors represent for people over thousands of miles of Asian ocean waters.

NBC Ordered by Judge to Allow Kucinich in Presidential Debate

Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson vowed to issue an injunction halting the nationally televised debate if MSNBC failed to comply with his order.
(CLEVELAND, Ohio) -
Ohio Congressman and Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich will meet with reporters here Tuesday morning to make his first public statements following a Nevada court ruling tonight ordering that he be included in tomorrow’s nationally televised NBC/MSNBC debate - or, the court said, the debate would be halted.
The judge ruled it was a matter of fairness and Nevada voters would benefit from hearing from more than just Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama. An official order from the court is expected this morning.

Oregon was among the first states to respond to reports that registered sex offenders were using MySpace.
(SALEM, Ore.) -
Attorney General Hardy Myers today announced Oregon’s participation in an agreement with MySpace to make significant steps to better protect children on its web site, including creation of a broad-based task force to explore and develop age and identity verification technology.
"This agreement is an important step toward a victory for social networking safety," Myers said. "We all want to protect our children from on-line sexual predators and inappropriate materials."

Legislation Introduced to Rein in Unlicensed Loan Originators.

The Senate Commerce Committee today introduced a key piece of the Senate Democratic Agenda for February: legislation that they say will dramatically strengthen state oversight of mortgage loan originators.
Later this week, the House Consumer Protection Committee will introduce a companion bill that will crackdown on fraudulent and abusive rescue-mortgage scams aimed at homeowners facing potential foreclosure.
